Facebook users count to millions, and the numbers are going up. There are times that we received so many messages in our wall. Our account is also been visible to our friends that they can see what's going on with our family and life. So there is one time that it has come to me that.. what if I deactivate my account? What my friends will say about this? So as a form of experiment with my non-stop and day by day usage of Facebook, I decided one day to deactivate my account for almost 10 days and see what happens. After reactivating my account, I have lots of messages from friends looking for me. Since they are my friends for so long time but we don't see each other anymore but uses the advantage of Facebook, my wall was flooded with inquiries why I don't do Facebook anymore. There are different messages ranging from "inquiries where I am" to "If I am bored with Facebook" to "if somebody hurt my feelings in Facebook" to "if my husband prevented me from using Facebook"... Such many concerned friend. But anyway, I just deactivate it for apparent reasons that I just want to take a break in using my Facebook and if they see me deactivated, if they would not communicate me. Funny is the result is that still, everybody would look for me.... Have you ever tried deactivating your Facebook account? Do you deactivate it just to take a rest for a while from too much use of Facebook? And if you do, what is your reason? Thanks for dropping by at this discussion... Won't you mind if you share some of view about this deactivation of Facebook account?

Yes, that was last year. The reason why I deactivated is that many people I don't wanna add always invite me to be their friend. It was almost everyday, I joined facebook to look for my old friends I ended up getting people whom I know but I don't really trust them so I don't want to add them up. So, I ended up making a new profile where I used my nickname only, some people may look for me again but if they don't know my nickname and my new last name (married) then they will not find me.

Yeah, I have deactivated my account once when I was fed up wasting my time, I remained online on face book for hours, playing games, doing updates, sharing every things and reading comments from friends n family. I was really addicted to it, then I once deactivated it for one day only, but I could not remained with that, so I again reactivated my account...:) Have a nice day...:)

Well I understand when your inbox and walls and pictures are flooded with people's comments and inquiries. I know that you have to interact with them everytime for if not they will think you are ignoring them. The only time i deactivated my facebook was when i broke up with my sweetheart, where I felt I just want to dissapear from the face of the earth and I dont want to talk to anybody. I just did it once, and i dont intend to do it again for I will never let a lover ruin my facebook again. (^_^)

yes i deactivated my face book account because i was fed up of facebook and the huge number of emails cluttering my inbox. it was a waste of time, playing farmville all the time caring more about the crops rather than my studies. and we all chat all the time first in college and then on computer.... well i was fed of networking sites. however here i am able to get some knowledge along with money to spend on my food.

Yes, I have deactivated my account my times in fact my Facebook is currently deactivated right now because I had to study for school and I get distracted if my Facebook account is active. I spend a lot of time, chatting, commenting, messaging, viewing other peoples accounts (pictures and what not) and playing games. Having my account deactivated helps me stay focused in my studies.

i tried because i had two accounts. the one is for business purpose but i cannot go on with it so i decided to activate it. However, some of my friends tend to add me using that account. So i decided not to deactivate it coz it will take time again to invite them to my other account.
