My dry hands. This has been a persistent insecurities I ever had, I have been bearing that ever since I have become a teenager and become conscious about it. I even prayed during my younger days that God gives me sweaty hands so as to forget this insecurity. There was even a point in my life when I have to turn down suitors and sacrifice my love and emotions with fears of intimacy that involves holding and caressing my hands and ended up discovering that I have unattractive hands..That was painful really. I learned to live with it, and realized that that is part of my individuality and uniqueness. I have tried several stuff to improve this condition but to no avail, I even contemplated some procedures to address this but my fear is overwhelming that it prevented me.. I would love to know more of softening process...

If you want to go with a natural remedy for dry skin on any part of your body, including your face use extra virgin olive oil. I know it sounds funny but olive oil is fantastic for any dryness. I use it on my hands, legs and my face at night before I go to bed. I smell like a salad. LOL. but when I wake up in the morning my skin is incredible! It also reduces redness on my face. Try it. It's really nice if you have dry skin. Make sure you rub it in really good first before you go to bed or it will get on the sheets. Do this for a few weeks and you will notice a big difference.

I use petroleum jelly to soften my hands. I massage it to my hands at night and I cover it with gloves. I let it stand overnight. It also works for my feet. You can also scrub your hand regularly with a mixture of sea salt or rock salt, extra virgin olive oil and a liquid hand-soap. Pour enough extra virgin olive oil over the sea salt to create a paste like consistency. Then add two squirt of liquid handsoap. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly. When you're done, wet your hands with warm water massage the mixture at the back and front of your hand. Make sure to also rub the spaces between your fingers. Use warm water to rinse it off. Apply an intensive moisturizing lotion/creme afterward for better result. I use nivea hand creme. I hope you'll achieve a softer hand. Thank you.

Washing dishes is a big contributor to dry hands. The cold weather is also a decisive factor. One good way to soften your hands is with body lotion and moisturizer. the more moisture we can give our skin, the better it treats us.

Use natural methods to keep your hands soft and attractive. Apply milk cream or yogurt daily. You can also use coconut oil to make your skin shine and soft. My hands are very smooth because everyday i apply either of these things on my hands, necks and face. I never apply lotions and moisturizers on my body for i'm fearing that it may have some side affect and may harm our skin in future.

I have same problem and it worse during winter. I used petroleum jelly and other cold creams but it never relief, they were good for time being but again the same problem. Then my uncle made a home remedie for me, he made it with Glycerin and lemon. He put lemon in glycerin, so the thickness and viscosity of glycerin became very low, then I used this solution before going to bed, its effect was very good and long lasting. After one week of use, I got the results...:)

When my hands get really dry, my wife has me use her Olay Quench hand cream and this will usually take care of it.

I'm not sure if you're familiar with Glee and Kurt Hummel told Brittany that he uses duck fat to soften his hands. I'm not sure how effective that is but so far, I think moisturizing frequently would work for you. People often compliment me on how soft my hands are and that's what I do, I always lug around a small tube of lotion with me and I apply lotion frequently. As for your hands being sweaty, you may try soaking your hands in hot water with a tablespoon of baking soda. Hope this would help.

a moisturizer or lotion that would fit your skin type religiously will help keep it soft. Keep off doing chores that would dry your skin, like using soaps that are too strong... you can also use baby oil once in a while.

I usually use an organic lotion that has all natural ingredients. I never use those silly store bought ones.
