Hello Lotters, It's been the Philippine Tradition that during All Saints day people will visit the tombs of their loved ones and then some would stay there for days until November 2. most people who far away from the tombs set up tents not only for them to stay there long but also to celebrate the death of their love ones. After Years of Persuasion, i have finally convinced my mom for me to set up a tent near Grand Pa's Grave. actually, the only am worried is the stuff that i don't need to bring. It will only Last a day, but i have no choice since i can't bare to use the umbrella again in case Sunny afternoon strikes again.probably I'd just sleep the whole afternoon. yeah, that's what i will do after being almost whole night on mylot. of course, i will take it all after the whole day. Happy ALL SAINTS DAY EVERY ONE PS: except for the ropes, the materials will be used are recycled..

Oh gosh no I could never spend a night out in a cemetery. It would creep me out and cause me to be frightened. Bless you for celebrating it the way your tradition does. We in our Country do celebrate this day but not in this way, it is more of a religious vigil which we gather together and say the rosary and special prayer for all loved one who passed.

Hello hardworkinggurl, No, i only did this in the morning and afternoon. because it will be hard to go home along with the other campers. the reason why i did because others who visit their loved ones are doing the same. they just have bigger tents. it's a cool place, children run around the run ways and small business are set up there

Awwh how sweet that you use to follow my little girl. If I take her to the cemetery I am afraid she will then begin to scream with sound. At which point it would not be a pleasant thing to hear, as she is all over the place and will be found to be very irritating. Cause she is like afraid of cemeteries also.

Well, you're quite brave to stay and camp in a cemetery all by yourself even though you may have done it before. It would be a great experience to camp in a cemetery but I don't think I can do that. Good luck to you and stay safe. There are some people who takes advantage of the halloween season especially to those who stay at cemeteries. Bad persons who are more frightening to deal with than ghosts. They can harm us more or do more things than just making us scared. It's important to be careful all the time, we can't really be so sure on our safety. But I think you're already aware of that. Happy All Saints Day. =)

I want to be unafraid of them but I really am. I get scared easily. But I have to say somehow I've improved. I have a very active imagination, sometimes it doesn't really help hehe. Well, I believe that your grandpa was a good man. You're blessed that he has been a part of your life. =)

I can’t say that I have ever camped in a cemetery before! In Italy there is one special day which acknowledges loved ones who have passed and most people go to the cemetery but don’t stay there for days! It’s an interesting custom; I guess you can turn it into a social event of some kind...

Hello Shelly, It went well. although i felt it wasn't enough and wrong time. not enough because i prefer to sleep more in the cemetery since i couldn't do it before except indian sit and sleep, which is hard. wrong timing because my mom asked me to go home since my dog is being choked in her own leash, but i couldn't refuse she could die for it

Wow, I find that very interesting and I think it's a good tradition. It's nice to celebrate your loved one's. I've never done this but I wouldn't mind doing it if it was allowed here, but it's not. I don't know why everyone should be so afraid to do this, it's your relatives right? So why be afraid of them, they won't hurt you. I think it would be a nice visit.

we done this a week ago. last sunday relatives went to camp put big tents and everyone is told to bring food. me and my wife brought chocolate chip cookies for we know there would be a lot of children there. there were two big tents and a long table of foods. kids also are all in costumes for the trick or treat. we do this every year. we go there one week before nov 1. we also have old relatives that we dont like to get in the crowd every nov 1. we dont just pray but we even have costume party and get together. it was fun. we are at the cemetery around 9AM and left around 7PM.

Hello Seven, So, that's why people mostly bring big tents with lots and lots of foods, i noticed this every single year with so many people rounding up. well, i am not sure about the costume party but i noticed a lot of vendors selling a lot of horns and fangs here but most people i noticed bought only food and beverages. well, i came there from 7am to almost 4pm, not bad.

First of all, good luck.. I would love to camp in the cemetery too- but our cemetery here is not that big and too crowded, no place at all for camping. But isn't it a bit creepy, but you are beside your loved one so I guess it would be nice..Have fun

Hello stanley, how crowded are those area there? ours is buried deep in the soil. probably your relatives were inside a tomb cement probably. we haven't got much crowd this year compare to the HOT and crowded people last year because of so many tents lying around you can't find the exit

hELLo gahoi, it was done in the day. i was about to stay until seven in the evening but unfortunately, because of my dog, i was forced to go homethis is probably a private cemetery and not those public cemeteries.

Your really brave! I must say that even if people were to pay me to go camping in a cemetery, I would never do it! With all the scary films that I watched I can barely go to a secluded place alone let alone cemetery.

So what happened? there was rain during that day. It is good that you brought a tent to cover you from it. Did you sleep there. I only rest at home and what i did was to sleep for whole day. My mother went to province that is why i was tired of moving. I did say a little prayer for the souls of my relatives who were passed.I tried doing that when I was a child but it only leads to accident since a piece of broken glass cut the tent while i was sleeping and it cuts my back too. That was one of my unforgetable experiences.

Wow, that one is exciting you know! Camping in the grieveyards, unusual! I am also invited with my close relative to have an overnight celebration in the memorial park for grandpa tomorrow, it sounds exciting though, but i am not really into such activity, other than forest camping. Last time, they brought lechon, i do not know tomorrow, maybe biko, as lola made it already as they told me... One thing i dont like, the crowd hehehe! And one thing, i plan to mylot the whole evening specially i am waiting for my B to come back onlind, well goodluck for today hehehe, morning already...

Hello prime, the crowed is fine in our place since it's not that many compare to NCR Cemeteries. it's nice, the difference is that i got a tent and was able to sleep for a few minutes. it's so nice my sibling and his children were able to stick around at least and hour. the only hard time was unsetting the stuff from the tent.
