Even I am belong to a known 5 star hotel here but for me being an employee is like you are slave of your boss. You cannot do anything without your boss knowledge. Aside from that you cannot choose your own time, day and everything which are related to your work. I missed being my own boss. No worries, no pressure, I can do what I want. I think being an employee is not a way of my life. I prefer to do business than being employee. How about you, what do you feel being an employee?

I'd prefer to do a business than be an employee, but to get a the wages and hours i need its easier to just be an employee... although it would be nice to have an understanding nice boss not a boss that just likes to boss everyone around and sit down doing nothing themselves. Having no worries or pressure would be great but if i had a good boss then that wouldn't be a problem anyway.

It's good to be employed. I mean, if you don't own a business that is enough to give you the money to spend with your needs, you need to be employed. Yeah, an irritating boss really irritates. I'm fortunate I have a nice boss. But if you need the money, you'll work and do anything as long as it's legal and doesn't step on you dignity and is a clean work.

Hi july teen:I understand your point of view and I'd love to have my own business at some point of my life. At the same time I think that people chose to look for an employment because they'll feel safer that way. Actually, when you have an employment you don't have to make an investment and you don't have to worry about losing all your money. ALVARO

Employee is still an employee but the experience gain can be ahead of your boss. Do you realise that you are face to face with the ....... for being in 5 star hotels. If you have enough budget to register a business then dont wait may be than u would seriously have a talk with your boss.

You are right when you are an employee you are always a slave to your boss. They tell you what to do and you have to do it. Its not always a bad thing though. I loved my boss. Owning your own business and being your own boss would be a lot more fun though with no one to tell you what to do.

Yea, I hate to be employed but what to do? You just have to find the right kind of job that suits you most and you like then it would be easier to be employed. To own a business is more difficult. You have to manage all things by yourself and if the business is no good, then you have to quit the business. For me, I would rather do it part time on the internet and full time offline. I got a job at call center and the working hours is flexible but I don't get basic salary just the attendance allowance. Plus there is no target to reach. You can come for at least 16 hours per week to claim the allowance. But the benefit of owning a business is that you got a lot of time to do the thinking whereas working for someone else you have no time for yourself.

Yes, it is much nicer to be a businessman, but there are, I think less risks if you stay being an employee. I'm okay with t, but it feels tiring sometimes too.

Sad and depressed. That's it. I hate to be employed by whoever on earth. I hate to be ordered, commanded, and insulted by the boss. It is better for me to be an entrepreneur. I can do anything I want without worrying the boss that acted like God. So before that happens, I have to find my own way here. I have to collect as much as money for my future business. Why? As your question, because I hate being employed. I wanna free my life from frustration and depression.

Well, it's really cool to be employed in a call center here in the Philippines especially if you are still a college undergraduate because you can earn enough money and it's like a status quo.
