I don't know because it was on a sunday maybe that is the reason but this is the only year we had so much candy left over. Our doorbell rang maybe about ten times this year that was it. I can't believe it, is it maybe times are so hard no one bought masks. I am stumped what do you think.

When I owned my home I could not sit for 2 seconds as the kids kept coming in loads. Now that I live with my boyfriend at his apartment we do not get any, as we are in a building so I suppose the kids do not come into buildings. Too sad though, I always buy a little candy just in case and then my boyfriend has eat them for days.

I moved in my current apartment complex in 1997, and the only year I had ONE trick or treater was when I had a next door neighbor who had a toddler. I learned not to buy any candy by the third year, though I wished I asked around before expending money for something I hardly ever consume myself. I have a plan for the next exception. I have a few books appropriate for preteens. I take them out and plan to give to any who come by. I wonder what their reaction will be though. I would think parents would approve of children's books more than candy, but unless the child likes books, chances are I am going to get egged.
