I believe there are those that have some form of gift to predict, at which time they learn how to read the deck to be able to entice and enhance a reading. Some use them with good intentions while others utilize this to scam and or simply make money.
I do have a friend who is really great at tarot reading and is so accurate it freaks me out.

This is a business where anyone can claim to be a Tarot master, so buyer beware. Here are a couple of red flags to look for to separate the wheat from the chaff. Consulting a Tarot reader means opening yourself up to other perspectives. If you're at a point in your life where that isn't what you want, it's best to save your money and talk with your friends.

it's a form of divination
much like reading charts and predict the future among other things
only works if the reader's intuition taps into it
otherwise it's a waste of time
we are all born with intuition, some people are just more sensitive than the rest
but intuitive ability can be developed
if you develop yours, you can read cards for yourself

in tarot card reading, i noticed that its not only the reader who is the psychic but its also the guest. I say this because when a tarot card reader asks you to pick set of cards and show it to him, it is you who is giving the reading and he is just interpreting what you picked. You get amazed when he is telling you what happened to you and what is your present situation where in fact it is you who gave him the information. The most difficult part in tarot card reading is the future because it may change depending on your decision and direction in life.
