There are lots of reasons that caused the occurence of most ailments nowadays. It is usually said that it is because of lifestyle and the diet habits of people. Even so, there are still people believing that herbal or organic food can be somehow be a remedial to all this dilemma. If someone says that there are something natural remedy for a certain sickness, would you rather turn to it even without the approval of the doctors?

Yes, but you must do your own research first before trying a recommendation from a friend. The Internet is filled with reliable researches about a certain natural remedy so if you are a keen researcher, you will be aware of the pros and cons. Also, I recommend trying both, natural remedies and at the same time, modern medicine. If you depend on only one of them, chances are, it will be very difficult for you to attain good health. Modern medicines have their own weaknesses, like they have side-effects or they may kill normal cells while killing cancer cells. But if you couple it with natural remedies like taking food supplements that are rich in antioxidants, you are protecting your healthy cells while at the same time getting the benefits of taking proven modern medicines which are products of extensive research of modern science.

Well, I think we're both in the same boat. My parents are more dependent with traditional medicine or remedies. But we have nothing against the modern way of treatment, it's just that they still have strong believe with the native way and nothing is wrong as well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, bertyzhong. Happy mylotting to you.

I have already turned to natural remedies many times and have had much success. In fact I have had more success with natural remedies than I have with doctor prescribed remedies. Every time I take something prescribed by the doctor, I get sicker or have side effects but with natural remedies I get better and never have side effects!

I would probably talk to the doctors first, but if they were okay with it, I would not mind trying such a remedy. If doctors would advice against it, however, I would not do it.

I've never been really fond of taking medication, so I try to use natural remedies whenever possible (of course, sometimes you can't avoid having to take medication). Sometimes such remedies work just as good, or even better! I don't know, it feels like nowadays many people are too dependant on medication, as in, as soon as they're in a little pain, they take a pill or something already. And that, in my opinion, isn't good at all. So, in response to your question, yes, I would try the natural remedy first, and if that didn't work, then I would consider switching to medication.

Hi Cargoleta, First my apology for this delayed response for I got a flu and excused myself from this stuff for fast recovery. You're right, due to existence of so much synthetic medicines, even those simple ailments people didn't want to try traditional. They probably want an easy medications. Thanks for this shared thoughts on this topic.
