I just sleep it off. Take a rest. Raise my legs by putting a pillow under my legs. Something like that. Avoid standing too long it will severe the pain. I also eat dark chocolate to help me relax and cheer me up.

aside from taking a pain reliever, whenever I am having dysmenorrhea, I place pillows under my hips so it is elevated, it helps to lessen the pain, or I get a jar filled with warm water and roll it on my lower abdomen...

well, every time I have my monthly period, I tend to have lower back aches and lower abdominal pain alongside with. Warm water in a water bottle is the key for me for a relief from the pain. I do not take medicines just to feel better, as much as possible I just use home remedies. Luckily, mine doesn't belong to intense pain rather its just a mild pain..intense pain will only occur around twice in a year.
