i have only ever had an artificial and a fibre optic, real trees wilt and so i won't have that as my son is so young and it will make a mess, i don't want artificial as i don't want to have to put lights on it. A couple of years ago i bought a fibre optic one and this is great, no mess and lasts basically forever.

i think that they are great, not much hassle either, simple to put up and do look better than many other trees, grab a bargain if you see one, they are quite cheap to buy.

I don´t have Christmas at home anymore and we get together one year at one of my daughter´s home and the next at the other´s. I don´t put up a Christmas tree aymore but I have the smallest manger carved on salt. I have that on a table, put up some lights around it and start placing there my hoardings. On Christmas eve, I select what I must take for my daughters and my grandchildren and leave what I made for my friends and rest of the family.

Christmas is near- it is my favorite season and holiday. My parents used to buy artificial trees because we didn't celebrate Christmas at our house, it was gathered at my grandparents home where the family reunion is hosted and there would be a real Christmas Tree. The past few years, my family has bought real trees and we are planning to buy a real Christmas tree this year too because we love the scent of tree, smells fresh and like the holiday season :)

I am actually kind of excited about this year, because for the first time ever, I will be getting my first real christmas tree. My hubby and I thought it would be nice, since we never a had a real christmas tree when we were young, to go out and have the kids pick one out and come home and decorate it with them, as a family. I am so looking forward to that.

real ones are good but they make a mess, but thats the only negative about them

I have heard they are messy, but I am willing to take the risk this year. If I don't like it, then next year, I will go back to my old fake one, but just the thrill of having a new one is encouraging.
