I am not sure if Totti still has it in him to play at the International level. For Italy it would be a backward step to go back to Totti. I am pretty sure that there are some good youngsters coming through the ranks of Italy. Cheers! Ram

He has made a comeback already, after retiring and he could do this again, it would be no surprise in it. I think it is hard for a player to refuse the national team, especially if he knows that he is highly appreciated by the head coach of the national team. I have a huge respect for Totti's loyalty for Roma, players like him are extremely rare, to play all his career for Roma, despite the fact that he had many offers from much more prestigious teams like Real Madrid. I know that he thought about leaving, who wouldn't, but in the end he remained and that is what counts. Totti is a legend, both for Roma and Italy, and he could have been more greater if he wouldn't have been injured so many times.
