Shake hands confusion

It happens many a times when you offer to shake hands with someone and the other doesn't offer immediately... or not willing to shake hands at that moment... Have you faced such a situation before... How do you generally meet people.. do you shake hands with them... do you have different greeting styles with girls and boys... Plz answer in detail as how you meet/greet people. IF you have faced a situation as specified above what would you do? Please try to answer all the questions.

Shake hands? I only make shake hands only if they're the one who move first... in meeting someone or introducing some friends to me.. i just only say, "hi" then wave my hand a little and of course, giving my cutest smile as possible if ever that i have... :) happy mylotting!

It has but I must admit not quite often and it makes you feel really silly. However the person who did not return the greeting as they should be ashamed of themselves for not returning courtesy. I am Hispanic so generally if we have met the person more than one time it does not matter, the woman greet all men and woman with a kiss on the cheek. The Hispanic men will greet the girl with a kiss on the cheek as well and shake a males hand. I hope I answered all your questions and be well.
