It really amazed me to see my uncle’s 5 years old child going along in school bus, she is the youngest of all those in her school bus. Her school is more than 20 km away from home. Also uncle told me she has lots of friends in the school bus to look after her carefully. But if I had a child I may hesitate to send alone. I feel this would help the child to have a social relationship, still I feel it will affect the safety of the child.

Hi Sham, My elder son started his school when he was 2+. Yes he used to go by the play school van alone. We too were worried but he had many friends with similar age (Now he is 9 years old). My younger son is 3+ and started his schooling before two months. His school is near to our residence and we are dropping him in the morning but he is going to daycare by school van with his friends. The van will drop him near to his day care and the Lady will pick him from the Van. The scenario changed much dear Sham. I started my school after the age of five and it was walking distance only. Then also my grandfather came with me in the beginning even my elder brother was in the same school. As both of us are working there is no option left with us. She is at least five years old now.

yes, the scenario has been changed. Moreover some children are really handling things better, than those old days children. May be I hope it is a part of generation and advancement in the society. May be a part of social change.....

Parents are forcing to send their kids so early either on circumstances demands or they think that early schooling is better for their child. We comes under the first category.

I think that it is better for the parents to send a small child to go to school without letting her go alone for safety. Here in our place, parents usually send their children to school early in the morning and take them home in the afternoon when they are small. Children should be protected for safety. When they are over ten, it is ok for them to go to school without their parents. I would never feel secure to have my child go to shcool under that age of ten if the school so happens to be faraway. Safety is more important than social relationship for a child. Take care, shamrack.

Safest is most important, we all want to be secure and healthy.
