I am from the U.S. and more specifically from Tennessee. I would suggest you visit the Smokey Mountains. The Smokey's are about 1 hour away from me and I try to visit every chance I get. They are beautiful mountains with spectular views. I love to drive up the mountains and look down at the little towns on the bottom of the mountain. In the fall, when the leaves are changing colors it is absolutely beautiful. Sometimes in the winter, if the temperature is just right, there will be snow up on the top of the mountains, and part way down from the top there will be ice on the trees. The ice glistens in the sun and it is beautiful.

Well if you are not a hiker, you can drive to the top as well. They have several places you can pull over for photo opportunities as well.

Hello. I am in Canada. If you would have the chance to visit Canada, the Canadian Rockies is the place to visit. Very beautiful and scenic, all year round. If in the winter time, you will see all the mountain tops covered with snow and ice. There is a national park called Banff National Park, a place for picnics when the weather is favorable.

I am from India. The areas recommended depends on your tastes and aims.If you have come for escaping the severe winters, but prefer, comparatively cold areas,I would recommend the border areas in Himalayas like Darjeeling,Uttaranchal,Himachal etc.If you love beaches,Goa and Kerala are suitable.Since India is a land of temples and if you would like to visit them,Benares,Orissa,Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are the places for you.If you would like to enjoy Cities,Mumbai,Delhi,Bangalore and Chennai are good.If you want to see the culture,in general, two or three long train journeys, from one end of the country to the other is the best.
