How can I learn the basics of computer from the internet ? Can you suggest some very authentic sites for this purpose ?

I know it sounds obvious but... if you are running windows then the getting started stuff that will install at setup is good, and the official windows website is useful too. they can be a bit patronising, but actually that can be helpful for beginners.
