I am really upset for what I just read the news in the Yahoo awhile ago. Philippine is the very friendly and hospitable country I could possibly imagine. We never discourage anyone from going to other country. Is Australia and UK has something against to us. That's why they are discouraging other people to come to Philippines.. If there was could you tell me. I want to know.

Sorry but this is the reality. Philippines is having security problems again that is why there is a travel ban advisory to those countries. Ever heard on local news that Philippine military is tightening security at all points of entry like airports, seaports, terminal buses? And Why? There is an intelligence report that terrorists will likely attack Philippines in the next couple of months. There is also an incident that 2 luggage has been found to contain technical bomb carried going to Philippines in a cargo plane. So what to do for safety? For the meantime, those countries just advised their citizen to stay away for the moment... I think this is considerable for them.

i agree. it is truly upsetting, but this is the reality with our country today. Our government should double their effort in establishing tight security to avoid those plots. Anyways, i think the travel ban that have issued is not forever. For the meantime, for security reasons, lets accept those travel ban to our country.

Can you provide me the link? I wanna read the news myself. This is definitely an outrage. Let's fight back. Let's prevent our people from going to those countries as well. As if united kingdom and australia is 'that' safe. Tsk!

We may never know UK and OZ's sources about the terrorist threat but there's no harm if you people will take these warnings seriously. I admit that the warnings will have a bad effect on tourism but i guess people are already used to this kind of warning. So far, the president denied that such a threat is true but i guess that's an anwer expected of him given the sensitivity of the situation. Let's just hope that nothing bad will happen and for the travel advisory to be lifted soon.

There's nothing we can do about it aside from praying and hoping that PNOY will do something about it and mostly do something with our military actions. The way i see it our PNP and AFP in Mindanao aren't really doing the best that they can. Maybe some of you will tell me that i can only say this 'coz i was not there to witness the fights, but guess what i do experience being in the site where they (AFP and MILF) started firing on each other. Well the situation with regards to where the rebels are taking refuge is widely being showed and announced on TV, it's a place we call "bundok" where nobody (civilian) will be hurt if any encounter would happen. What the PNP and AFP always says is they have a hard time reaching the place were the rebels hide because of the terrain. But how about bombing the whole mountain? How about a rapid bombing on a certain area where they believe the rebels takes refuge? Why not use helicopters? Or even bother to ask help from the US government where we all know that their forces had been staying here in our country for a very long time just to train our soldiers. Why not? Even if this will cost us (Phil. Gov't.) at least the cost will only for one time. US Armed Forces can take this rebels in just a week, they can wipe the rebels a*s in just an instant with the use of their war equipments. All of this terrorist act we have here in the Philippines cannot be solved unless our Government should take action first on our Military Forces. The error comes first on the Gov't. side before it should be blame on the rebels or they now called "terrorist". We cannot fight back on the two countries just because they had release a warning to travel in the Philippines. It is their right and just taking caution before its too late. Try to imagine what if these two countries never release a warning to their people about the danger in traveling to Philippines then happened to be that one of their people got abducted by the terrorist or rebels? Could you still say they were wrong? That the person got abducted is the one who made the mistakes? And should we still blame them for being careless? Or blame ourselves for we never cared for them and we had became selfish for just thinking of our possible incomes (for them being tourist)? To all Filipinos like me, think first before you comment on this one. Try to see the situation in our country before you say "Philippines is safe to travel". Have you forgot already the hostage taking of Hongkong nationals few months ago? I was lucky i had my vacation to Hongkong way before this thing happened. Well my friends aren't lucky, their vacation in HK didn't go well according to their plan. Why? Because HK nationals are simply full of hate and don't even bother to mentioned your a Filipino or your from Philippines if you want to spare your life there.

actually, people here are very hospitable indeed but there are some isolated incidents involving foreigners that's making the philippines,, should i say not so recommendable for them to go to, however it is our duty as a citizen to be vigilant about this stuffs,.. all of us should get involve as what they say, we have to do something about this for us to bend the result of the studies that the philippines is one of the most dangerous spot for foreigner..

yes i have read the news and it is pretty upsetting because if you think of it Philippines is not even a dangerous country! i mean what happened like that of the hostage thing was not even half of how beautiful our country is! that was little stain compared to how great our country is. too bad they see more of the negative rather than what is beautiful in our country. ;( i hope the Aquino administration will do something about this, it is time to prove his worth rather than talk b*llsh*t all the time. i did not even voted for him, he is a sissy!

This is really very sad, if a country is being banned by another country for its citizen, I personally dont like this thing, I believe all human are equal and there is no discrimination, I would like to visit Philpine when ever I finished my current job. Actually the act of minority create this type of confusion and situation and majority of people suffer from this, but we should not give punishment of minorities to majority of people... Have a nice day....
