Which Party is the Party of the minority?

As I watch the election results I had to ask my self which party is for the minorities? As I hear them talk about the candidates and their back ground it seems that the Republicans have more Women, Minorities and people new to politics running for office. Some of those positions were for high profile positions. I may be wrong but I noticed one Black and a couple of Woman running who were not the incumbent. Who is the party that represents the minorities?
