Toshiba Satellite A 100 Laptop (Blown Speakers)

Hi All, My cousin gifted me a laptop (Toshiba), its 2 years old and I replaced the battery recently by spending around 4K. Day before yesterday, the built in speakers where blown, now the sound is distorted and its really irritating me. I called up the service center and they told me that they will charge me around 2K for the replacement of the speakers. I don't want to spend a huge amount on a used laptop. Is there any cheap alternate method to fix the problem. thanks in advance.
