do you think this life is for materialistic things?

do you think the way we are all living is correct? is life only this much to just learn till some age and work till we die just for some materialistic things? i think life is not just money or any other materialistic thing.. i feel everyone should serve the purpose of life they are given on this earth by doing some good things.. what is your opinion regarding this?
