HuffPo shows admiration for Conservative Women with Rap Video

It has been explained to me dozens of times here on mylot. When conservative women are attacked, it isn't about them being women or about the fact that they are conservative women, it's either because that particular conservative woman is ridiculous or extreme or wacky or mean. But certainly, although we found ways to excuse the term "wh0re" when used against a conservative woman, we would condemn anything that was truly sexist or demeaning. We just haven't seen that. Well, you can see it now. The Huffington Post has a rap video up that is so vile and demeaning, so full of explicit lyrics that invoke so much pornographic imagery, that I don't want to quote any of them here. So, if you can stomach it, go see for yourself: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/02/my-girls-a-republican_n_777686.html If you either don't want to watch or cannot watch videos, you can find some lyric excerpts here: http://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/erin-brown/2010/11/02/huffington-post-video-mocking-gop-women-contains-sexually-explicit-lyric Now, no one at the HuffPo made this video or wrote the song. But by featuring it prominently on their website and calling it "creatively done" they put their stamp of approval on the denigration of women. In fact, they actually seem to think that the song shows admiration for these women with lyrics that include physical violence such as "I beat her black and blue, but my lady leans red. I want a lady in the street but a freak in the bed." So, do we still think that conservative women are not treated differently just because they are women? Does the HuffPo have plans to find and feature a rap song about beating and sexually abusing liberal women because it shows admiration for them? Can we all agree that this is sick, disgusting, demeaning and dehumanizing?

I'd be VERY surprised if you got more than two liberals who regularly post here to respond showing displeasure with this filth. The rest will quietly nod and smile in approval while choosing not to respond as they know this crap is indefensible. This won't for a second change how often any of them read the Huffington post or continue to use it as a source for their posts. I take that back, I think you will get a liberal to defend it with something along the lines of a "Limbaugh is a sexist too!" load of crap.

I don't expect any liberals to respond, nor any members who dislike Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachmann or any other woman featured in this "song". Sadly, I don't expect even female liberals to respond because... well, what can they say? Clearly, the left abandons its feminism and support for women's rights and equality if the attacks on women are limited to conservative women. As long as women are okay with this, then no woman is truly safe from the same treatment,no woman is truly equal or respected and they empower these haters with their silence which becomes tacit approval.
