It is our parents pride to send their children to school and have a degree course and finish college. No matter what it takes parents strive hard in order to provide what is needed for children to finish college thinking after graduation one can have a good and excellent job in the future. But some can't able to send due to financial constrain that resolve to enroll only in diploma courses but after such time, reality check. Who earn a lot more now a days? Mostly the in demand works are those from diploma courses. What do you think about it?

none of the above, i would agree, with one of the comments that opportunity is for all if we only knew how to identify them, if you were back track the richest persons in the world, you'll be surprised that almost none of the graduated college.. the school system isn't teaching us financial literacy, that's the problem. they only teach us and mold us to be employees and not entrepreneurs, it doesn't follow that you will do better in life if you have a degree of whatsoever.

Everybody cannot become as employers before being employees ... That is why they teach u MBA (Master of Business Administration) to start your own business or something like entrepreneur... Expecting business tactics in school is such a huge mistake, because in school we learn all the basics which leads to mid term scientific ability. No school would teach business literary, yet they provide basic information about business in the high school and that is your wish. If you want to do something about business in your future, then u have to take up Commerce group in your high school and learn about every thing , but most of them takes Science groups . School has no part in this, they have various groups and it's all up to the students to choose which group in which they have to shrine in future !!!

Hello there, Yes, I too can say that. Well, education is a discipline and continuous , infinite process of learning but now a days becomes a privileged to the moneyed people and deserving individuals. The extent of education you may acquired reflects on the status in life whether your from a well to do family or not. Degree courses means one reached and earned the quality of education and you may have the foundation to accelerate and be promoted to the field of your expertise. While in diploma one is being recognized from the achievement passed, the man power and the skills he learned but chances of promotion is left unobserved. But all of this doesn't mean nor be the measurement or basis of success in life.To become professional is great but what matter most is how we deal life , how we build our relationship to the people around us. How we can make our life meaningful and useful to the society where we live in. Thank you. God Bless!

gunagohan- i agree with you about that side, employers and employees, now i want you to look at this.. have you seen a Certified Public Accountant,, that is making name in money making?.. and to think they are so called financial advisors. it's like telling stories about a movei that they've not seen,, that is the problem in school, they can teach you business techniques and mechanics, and you can ask any business man that school plays a big part in molding ones mentality, i have nothing against education to make it clear, but what im saying is that they never teach financial literacy. sardonyxx- i strongly agree,, because if that would be the basis, it means there is no hope for us drop-outs and for those who never had a chance to go to school, educational attainment shouldn't be Tagged as status symbols, it's ignorance.look at this, if you were to go a bank and apply for a business loan, they will not be asking for your doctorate, masterals or even diploma, they will look for you bank statement instead, and your financial capacity and records. Regardless whether you've graduated or not. that is economic value.

diploma is much better not only is it cheaper than a degree but theres no difference with landing a job, the wages are much much similiar just with degree your investing more money plus a college is mostly hands on so you will get the practical work but university is theoritical so there is no sense you will get the experience a college program with co op could strengthen the wage when you land a job cuz nowadays experience is more important than education but sometimes go hand in hand but say someone with 20 years experienve volunteering and working in such field against someone with 2 years and a diploma or degree they will take tha person with the 20 years experience cuz a job can be confident that this person will help the company succeed

Hi! I don't know. However, the diploma is also important in China. It is said that if you want to earn more money, you must have a good diploma. And now, I want to get my Master's degree after college.

Hello Santos, Hehe, i agree with you. Got applicant who graduated from an engineering course but he applied for a construction worker coz he got feed up on searching for a good job which he expected after graduation. Also My public teacher friend enrolled care giver course and now shes about to resign and work abroad. Well ,being practical and being financial conscious is a must during crisis. I dont support this. The opportunity is there for every one. A degree person has also same opportunity. The only thing is he should have skills. And i think the degree person can earn more and can always get promotion. On the other hand the promotion in job for a diploma person is less. But still the number of job opportunity for diploma person is more. This is because most companies hen recruiting they need only say 1 degree person while they need 5 to 1o diploma persons. Still i think both have equal opportunity

i agree with you my friend, diploma or degree isn't the leverage to do better in life,, it's your financial skill.. most of the degree holders and graduates or even graduated with honors, ends up working for a drop out!

Well a college degree is better in theory. However I have a BA in political science and was making less money than I made at my college internship. I was barely surviving on what I made. It was a HUGE waste of money to get my Bachelor's degree, because I now have student loans too. I am starting nursing school in January though, and that is "only" a 2 year degree program (Associate's degree). I will earn about 2-3 times what I made with just my BA degree since nurses are paid so well!

And the next problem is going to be the intertwining of business with profession. that is one of the reasons Why it is too costly to be ill, it's too costly to go to a good hospital and to be treated by a good doctor, they thought that their profession is their business. Because they never knew the difference between the two.

I think, Graduation is better !!! Because u could tell that u are a graduate and show your pride of hard work!! Diploma is also better, but there is a constraint that they could not go after a certain height and development is very slow..Some would try to do Graduation after finishing Diploma, but once if they get a job, it will be difficult to concentrate on studies.

My sister in school - That is good.
It depends on what is what the children want to pursue. If they eant to be chefs, it will be ok.If they want to be doctors, it is okey as well

Hello Mimiang' Thanks for your opinion. After graduation in high school although they are being exposed to different kinds of professions and jobs but still they need proper guidance in choosing which is which. Meditation, prayers and knowing you weaknesses and strength may help, but of course with the availability of parents resources to provide must also be taken into consideration. God bless you.

Hello Emma, I have a degree in Engineering. There are subtle differences in a degree and a diploma course. I have studied both of them. I know that a degree course is more vast than a diploma course. In that case a degree holder gets more general idea and diverse knowledge about the subject. He not only studies the subject, but also learns about every other thing that is related to the subject itself. A diploma holder on the other hand, gets a very precise knowledge about the subject. Though the knowledge is less diverse, but it's quite definitive than its counterpart. A specialized and highly precise knowledge is necessary in today's world. It is often observed that a diploma holder is far more agile in carrying out practical experiments which is a great thing. In my opinion, therefore, they are of equal importance and shouldn't be compared in that way. There are advantages and disadvantages in both of them and it's better if we come out of the conservative idea and consider things with a more inclusive perspective. Thanks. God bless you.

Hello Biswa, I admire people who have the passion to learning. Acquiring two or more degrees and diplomas for me is looking the path of belongingness to achieve the dreamed financial stability and security in life. Well you are right, this things are incomparable for each one has a big role in our society, They go hand in hand whether we like it or not. One project can't be successful without the other. Many graduates worked far beyond expected others finished with an honor , cumlaude but stays home unproductively in bigger and broader sense. All of this is a matter of choice or perhaps destiny.Do you believe in it? Well that's another topic. Thank you for your words i really want it. More power!
