Webcams in your home town or country..

Help needed to open a window on the world here in myLot, can you help ??
Are there any live webcams available to view in your home town or country that we can all view here in myLot.
Here is a link to the live webcams in my home town, they are run by the local council and can be viewed by anyone.
It would be interesting to see other members hometowns / countries on webcam.

That's so cool! What a terrific idea for a discussion! I had never thought of trying to see if we had any live webcams around town here before now. I looked and, sure enough, we have one. Awesome!!!

This is in Winchester, Virginia, USA. We live outside of the city but still in the Winchester area. I have no idea what this is actually showing because it is now 4:41 a.m. and still very dark outside. I'll have to wait until the sun comes up before I can say more about where this webcam is pointed.

Hello mentalward, I'm glad you like the idea of opening a window on the world here in myLot. I just looked at your webcam page but it's still dark outside so I cant see much either.
But I will certainly be checking back later in the day to view.
Hopefully more myLotters will join in the discussion, I maybe should have put this under a specific topic and not just a general interest so more mylotters may join, I might try posting again in a different discussion topic.
Any ideas which would be the best, I was think about the 'Life' topic ?

I just saw where this webcam is and, unfortunately, it's mostly the parking lot of a local business here in Winchester. I looked for more but all I found were traffic webcams showing major highways that go through Winchester and that's not very interesting to watch, just a bunch of cars and trucks going by. 
Now, if I still lived in Baltimore, Maryland, where I grew up, I'm sure I could provide you with lots of webcams. Baltimore is a high-crime area so there are cameras all over the place, hoping to intimidate would-be criminals I assume. Whether they help or not I couldn't say, probably not.

Thanks for adding your view on the world for fellow myLotters to see.
I am about to repost this discussion in a new topic, when I originally posted this it was in the general interest cat. but not so many people view these discussions, so this one may get deleted by admin.
