Amazon.com is our familiar website to shop almost everything. From books, to jewelry, cosmetic products, and home upholstery etc...... They indeed hold a lot of different category of inventory. And they are one of the biggest online retailing stores in the world. So, what is the difference between Amazon and other online retailers? What is your impression with them? Why they are much stronger, and favorable to online shoppers? Can someone give me an advice on this one?

I would say it's because they are big. I shop there because I can find almost anything I want without having to go to a dozen sites first. Also, Amazon has some good prices and deals. Free shipping for over $25 is really good. Shipping is so expensive at some places that I won't buy from them, even though their merchandise prices are good.

SO, you would say you care about the shipping price? How about the shipping time? Do they arrived on time, and do they delay sometimes. How satisfied are you with them?

I've never had a problem with the shipping time. It's usually faster than they say. I'm a satisfied customer of Amazon. I remember when I first discovered them, not long after I got online in 1995. They marketed themselves as the world's biggest book store and I was impressed! They've grown since then.

i think amazon in many cases is different because is big and so many people before checking on other sites they visit and check on amazon and also because they have programs as you can sell your own things or be an associate or open a store without difficulties so may be these last can bring amazon a good retail company..

Amazon is different for a few reasons. Firstly, it allows independent sellers to sell. Most other sites only sell their own products, amazon lets you buy used and new, and stuff from other shops, and make their profit via commission, allowing for greater stock amount (however, the flip side, is that reliability, and qualitiy is often variable). Another good point is the amazon vouchers, which is great. However, what annoys me is that there are stuff on amazon.com that isnt on amazon.co.uk. Thats not right! I WANT A KENT MINI 8 amazon, please stick one on uk
