Have You Ever Get Rained On For Nothing?

Today didn't begin favourably. For a start, I had to get up earlier for a blood test appointment so I set my alarm for 9am. Or so I thought. At one point I gazed at the clock and it said "9:02." Apparently, I'd set the alarm time but didn't slide the thingy across for the alarm to go off lol.
I knew the day wouldn't improve after that. From looking at the weather report last night I knew we were in for a VERY rainy day so I took my umbrella. Good job I did because it was sheeting it down with (practically) gale force winds to wake me up. My brolly made it to the docs intact..and I did too, just about!
I sat down in the doctors' reception area and then the nurse saw me for my blood test a little while later. She tried looking for a vein in my left arm, my right arm, then she spotted a vein in my right hand. She said that "it will hurt more" and by this time I was extremely hot (the heating was on full blast even though it's not cold) and I reckon she thought I was about to pass out and gave up! I honestly didn't feel faint..just hot.
So, that's my day so far. Rained on to and from the docs and no blood could be taken because of my strange veins.
Better luck next week, perhaps? I hope so..oh, and I have to fast for the next blood test, so I suppose she's done me a favour not finding the vein this time round.

I think the thing that amazes me the most out of this discussion is that you had to set your alarm for 9am! 
I am usually 4 hours into my day by that time! 
I did the same thing with my alarm on Saturday morning. I am not used to setting it these days but I had to e up early so I set it for 4.20am. I was wide awake at 3.30 and finally got up at 4am after giving up on getting back to sleep. It was at this time that I realised that I had not turned the alarm on. I had set the time, but forgotten to turn it on! 
Oh...I cannot really remember being rained on for no reason!

oh yea.my mom's favorite time to ask me to do something is while it's raining.

Haha! I suppose I could've cancelled my appointment..save me the trip out in the rain for nothing, as I had a feeling I'd have a crap morning and so it turned out.
Let's hope I'm luckier next week!
