what is RSS

just scroll down and see it at the bottom of the page. I am not aware of the term.can anyone tell me what it stands for?

What is RSS?
RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication”.
RSS is a web feed format used to provide
the web content to other websites and news aggregators. The RSS feed contains web content or summaries of web content and a link back to the full content in an XML file. This facilitates the syndication of the web content as well as providing a way for the frequent users to easily track updates on the site.
