I started taking vitamins the 1 all day vitamins and I gained 20 pounds. I guess it gives all of what your body needs and what ever you eat, it goes to storage. That's the way I look at it, is this true let me know.

Hi sweetie. Vitamins do not make you fat at all. Did you get this vitamins from a doctor/ If not, you should go and see one and take that vitamins with, okay. You are not suppose to gain weight from it at all. TATA.

I was not sure how to answer this as when I read your discussion I had to wonder could it be possible. So I searched the net and found that the answer to this question is NO. Although people with low vitamin nutrition have a difficult time gaining weight. However, it will not cause you to gain. Here is a really helpful article that will explain it, I was glad I search it as now I know too. Hope this is helpful: http://neoweight.com/do-vitamins-cause-weight-gain

I really can't imagine this happening! Vitamins should help you lose weight and stay nutritionally fit rather than make you gain weight. It HAS to be something else - it really does! Perhaps you should talk with your doctor, or at least observe your eating and exercising habits. Maybe something else changed at the same time. Because I just can't imagine vitamins making you gain!

You're not supposed to gain weight with vitamins. At least not those with amino acid. Maybe it just altered your eating habits.

Hi there! just to share my experience. way back in college. i did take 2 vitamins everyday just to boost my immune system during my internship and for me it really depends to your body on how it reacts. you should take vitamins before you sleep for you to avoid too much eating. :D

Some vitamins increase one's appetite. This may be the reason you put on weight.

I do not take vitamin supplements at all. I just eat healthy foods and lots or fruits. that doesn't make me fat. So taking vitamin supplements or not will not make you fat but the way you are eating the foods. All things should be taken in moderation.

I have never heard of taking a vitamin making someone gain weight. That seems bizarre to me. Perhaps you simply don't need them? Did you talk to your Dr. before starting them? If not, I would suggest going to see your Dr. and inquire with them about it.
