Well, i have heard many times that those people who wear spex are always intelligent, and many people tend to wear spex even if they have good eye sight. Whereas some people with weak eyesight don't like to wear spex. But, would/do you like to like to wear spex?

For me, I need to put on spectacles to see and it is such a hindrance and I dun like it. The good side of it is that spectacles now come in beautiful designs. But if I have a choice, I would not like to HAVE to put on glasses but to put them on only for vanity purposes.

Welcome! What we saw here is that the young people put them on without the lenses. Its totally crazy but like what they say, you're only young once. Some glasses even come with a pair of degree-less lenses, so those were the ones I would like.

Yea, now a days specs come in many fancy designs so now no one minds wearing them but sometimes it really becomes a headache and you forcingly have to put them on your eyes. But it really varies person to person. Happy mylotting. Thanks for your response.

Spex? As in specs? Spectacles? Glasses? Yes? xD My gosh, those are kind of a turn on for me for some guys who are smart... Heehee my husband.. With and without glasses he always looks good. I wear glasses only when I feel the need to because of my astigmatism, T_T but I can still see fine since my eyes are not that bad. But I will wear my glasses just to look professional in a meeting or to boost smarts to my look. ;D I'm pretty sexy with and without it myself. Sure the stereotypical things in cartoons with people wearing glasses are considered 'nerds,' weak, geeks, for-eyes, and all those mean things, but we all have gifts in our own ways and should not be let down by others who try to put us down just because we wear glasses. These days, it's considered more of a fashion statement for some, because you can get frames to match your personality, taste of fashion and style. People prefer contact lenses for aesthetic purposes to change their eye color and that's fine. But it can be a real pan when contacts start to hurt after a period of time and you gotta take them out and such. ^^;; The cool glasses I got are transitions, they're photochromic and can change color in the sun. n_n;; Yep yep glasses/sepcs are nice. But there are some celebirties who surprisingly wear glasses too so those who feel ashamed wearing glasses, stand up and be proud! At least you can still see the world and beautiful things around you! You're blessed.

One answer for the weak eyesight thing on people who wear glasses who aren't so smart (why there are too many). Well, because of new technology these days.. Some people tend to spend a lot of time on the computer which causes their vision to decrease over a certain time span depending on how long they sit their butt down in front of one. Not to mention kids who enjoy playing video games in the dark, it can burn their retinas... "Oh I want the gaming experience" etc etc. One person says, but is it worth the risk for your eyes? Doctors say it is best to play on a smaller screen with all the lights on because lights are what your eyes take in to see color, because in the dark we see gray or black and white and it almost looks static like because of the rods and cones in your eyes. T_T Never play on green screen cell phones in the dark (I'm sure nobody does that anymore because most people in my days got colored) because playing and focusing on one colored screen can do numbers on your eyes especially if you're playing cellphone games on there for hours on end trying to beat some record... Not worth risking it. People who read books MUST have either a book light, a very well lit room, something that would illuminate their area of reading so that they can read better. Do not read in dim light it could strain your eyes and your vision can drop.

Yea, you are right, people with specs are considered as smart or professional i don't know why as now a days many people have weak eyesight even those who are not good at studies. But anyway specs are used to improve eyesight not anything else. Happy mylotting. Thanks for your response.

I do like to wear glasses. I've worn them since I was about 8. I mean, I have to -blinder than the proverbial bat without them- but I've always liked them, anyway. Liked how they look. And, even if I didn't like them, I'd still need to wear them, because I'm not poking any contact lenses in my eye, and I don't care to get surgery either.

Oh ok, the person who responded before is also wearing glasses since she was 8. But you don't don't have any objection with this that's a nice thing. Using contact lenses may infect your eyes so it is better to wear specs. Happy mylotting. Thanks for your response.

I've had to wear glasses since I was about 8 years old. I think it's a "grass is greener" situation. People who don't wear glasses think they're glamorous, people who HAVE to wear time wish they didn't have to be bothered by the hassle. I can't see a thing without my glasses.

Well, wearing spex since you were 8 year old may be quite bothering. And yes you are right the person whose eye sight is good may see wearing spex a fun but for the ones who have to wear spex because of weak eyesight may fedl it bothering. Happy mylotting. Thanks for your response.

I don't like them and never have. When I was younger it was thought I needed some but I pretty much refused to accept it and I wasn't wrong. My eye sights very good, so I don't really see why at the time it was thought I was short sighted as I could always complete the tests from far distance. During my childhood, I didn't know anyone who wanted to wear glasses and in my teens I noticed an increase of people wearing them. That was largely until contacts was more flexible/cheaper.

Oh ok. I also don't like to wear specs and won't like it either. But i know some people who like to wear glasses and want to even when their eye sight is weak. I think that's just a craze of looking intelligent. That's what all want. Happy mylotting. Thanks for your response.
