Since I don't have cable anymore because I'm disputing with my cable company. I have taken to watching TV online I think it's a great free resource but there are problems I like to watch weird shows such as Man Vs Food and Pitbulls and Parolees a lot of the shows from Animal Planet or the Travel Channel are not viewable online. And also the picture quality is not as good. What do you think of online TV?

I don't have your problem with the weird shows. But my cable company is going all digital rather than having both digital and analog. This means that I won't be able to record a show on my VCR on one channel and watch another show on a different channel at the same time. They have sent converter boxes and finally after talking with several of their people on several different occasions I may have found a way to do it but it will be cumbersome and requires the use of two of their converter boxes split off from one cable into a room and some other stuff. I won't know till I try it if it will work or if they will actually allow it. Right now I do look at some shows on the computer but just to capture scenes that I want, but if the above doesn't work I may have to watch some shows that I would have recorded before which will take more time since I won't be able to fast forward through the commercials like with ones that are recorded.

Instead on getting two converter boxes, see how much your cable company rents DVR's for. Usually with a DVR, you can record one show while watching another. You can also record two show at a time (good if you're not home) but if you record two shows at once, you can't watch a third show. Theret on a DVR might be about the same price as two converters. You could then retire your VCR except for watching old tapes. (Of course, a DVR stores shows in memory and you have to eventualy erase them. You might be able to record shows if you put the VCR downstream of the DVR and record the shows while playing them on the DVR. I haven't tried that but it seems reasonable.)

I love to watch online TV, I live in Brazil, and so, the TV here is i Portuguese, I am learning how to speak English, and so, I like to watch TV in English.
The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is to turn on my PC and put it on the news channel.
thank you and have a nice day.

I haven't watched too much television on line. I actually do most of my television watching when I am working on line ...like right now! It seems very limited to me anyway though. Plus, I haven't pursued it because it doesn't sound too interesting anyway, But if i had trouble with cable I might do the same especially during football season!

I like to watch television online too because I can't watch the shows that I want since they air really late sometimes. It's more convenient to watch them online, and there are no interruption [no commercials]
But it's just tiring to wait for the video to load.

I love watching shows on Hulu. It has better picture quality than Fox.com or NBC.com so I watch shows like the Office, 30 Rock, Glee, and more on there. I also like watching Make It or Break It about gymnastics there which normally is on ABC Family which I cannot get because I do not have cable. They have the complete Stargate SG-1 there too and I love that show. Hulu is great and I hope it never goes away.

I do watch TV online for the sole purpose of not being able to have a cable channel from my home country and I wouldn't want to miss on the soaps and TV shows that I love watching when I was still back there. I think it's still different to the programs that I am watching over here in the UK.

I had to cut off my cable TV now for 10 months and although I miss it with a passion, I do watch it online. Not the greatest but there are quite a few sites that offer all favorite TV, shows and movies with great quality, you just have to keep streaming for a better.
Good luck as I know the feeling.
