why do people relates the feelings with heart instead of brain?

Everybody will have noticed that whenever someone feels something about someone, he say my heart feel this and this. I have noticed this with almost 99% people.None of them says that their mind is happy.Everyone says that their heart is happy today.
No one say that their mind fell in love with someone.Everyone say that their heart fell in love with someone.

Before science showed that the brain controlled emotion, people always related emotion to the heart. I would say this is because of the heart's reaction to emotion, such as when you're afraid your heart beats faster, etc. Because of that, the heart became a symbol of both emotion and love, and even those science has showed otherwise, the heart prevailed as the symbol.
