Last week we watched the 1925 version of Phantom of the Opera. Boris Karloff starred in this classic silent movie. Our 9 & 10 year old grandsons thought it was great. We were surprised and will probably check out more silent movies in days to come.
Do you watch/enjoy silent movies?

Yes, I watch silent movies sometimes.I'm glad to hear that children from the 3D generation enjoy things like silent movies!I watched City Lights, made in 1931.It's the oldest romantic comedy I have ever seen.A nice one.Nosferatu was good too, and I also was impressed by Swedish movie The Phantom Carriage(1921).I have to say that horror and comedy work the best for me from silent era.

thanks for the input, sc. I am not much on horror, but I had not thought of the old silent comedies. I bet the boys would really enjoy Harold Lloyd or Charlie Chaplin! I will have to look for some of those at the library!
