Bhajji - the man of the match

Bhajji has been adjudicated the man of the match in the 1st test match between NZ and IND and wonde why???---its not for his bowling peformance which has failed him once again to deliver but for his splendid batting performance of 69 in 1st inning and 115 in the 2nd inning which won him the award...a spectacular display of sensible batting by the turbanator when it was required the most (to save the match rathe than fo winning)...and it came in at a crucial time...geat knock doesn't come easy....what say...

That was a beautiful performance from Bhajji...He showed India is the No.1 team in the world, but the sad thing is other top order batsmen forgot that, i felt sorry fot VVS. it was a very poor decision, that was a big big edge, but atlast these are part and parcel of the game, considering the fact that we came out from the jaws of defeat, it is alright, go team INDIA go

Hi Rihclass,
The match was a showcase of how Harbhajan Singh saved a vital match for team India.Also Laxman gave him a good company.The match also showed that Harbajan can not only bowl but also he can bat.Now he proved that he can be considered as a good all-rounder.The century will be a dream for every bowler and Bhajji has achieved it now.He made his dream come true....

Though I am very happy to see Bhajji score a century and save India the match, I would have been much more happy to see Bhajji pick up 5 wickets to win the match for India. I think his bowling which is more important for India has gone back a bit and he needs to get his drift and bounce, else his success rate will continue to deteriorate.
Anyhow, congrats to him on his century, but I hope he shines with the ball in the next two matches!!

Hi Rich,
It was a superb match between India and New Zealand.Both teams played extremely well to draw the match.At one condition India seemed to be winner of the match but thanks to great bowling Chris Martin, the KIWIS restricted the Indian team on the fourth day. The Indian did well in their first innings but their top order batsmen failed as the team was struggling.In between Laxman and Dhoni stood for some time and they began building partnership.But it did not continue too long as Chris Martin got his fifth wicket from Dhoni.Laxman played well and Harbhajan Singh gave his best knock in both first and second innings.Harbhajan played some quick runs while Laxman played with patience.Harbhajan really deserves the MAN OF THE MATCH award.Congratulations Bhajji!!!
