Laxman got out on 91 due to a dubious umpiring decision of LBW from one of the better expeience umpires...and what a blunder it was...i never saw the umpire making such a huge huge blunder...there was a huge deflection from the bat on to the pads and the bat was nowhere near the pads...there was a huge gap between the bat and pad and yet the umpire gave Laxman out LBW...had there been UDRS this would not have haappened...India need to do implement it...It was good that the situation was under control for India had it not been the case India would have been facing defeat....India pls implement UDRS...what do you guys say...

I actually smell a conspiracy theory here. I think the ICC has asked the umpires to give a set of dubious decisions against India to force them to use UDRS. This is the third series in a row when we are getting a lot of dubious decisions. Not only Laxman, but the next ball Zaheer also had a huge inside edge and was given out LBW. I think Vettori was on the verge of becoming the first batsman to have claimed a hat trick for dismissing three batsmen "Bat before wicket"!! I think Dharmasena is anyhow a very poor umpire but is consistently umpiring matches for India and he consistently gives at least one or two wrong decisions. Similarly, Davies had a really poor match at the end of it all!! So ICC is trying to force India to accept UDRS by giving us such poor umpires!! Cheers! Ram

Good guess.. And there are more possibilities too. 'Fixing' doesn't happen only in matches. It happens outside too.

This is not new matter but we saw in last series and in past series's.I will say not hesitating to say word for Umpires are like blind but ICC is also enough blind to making panel for best umpires.ICC should take steps for better umpires, better umpiring and better decisions.

Yes. Absolutely right. For the time being, forget about the UDRS. What had Steve Bucknor done to India in Australia? It is just the repetation of what we had seen there. It was fortunate that India did not lose the match or fortunately enough, the end result of the match was not too different. There were two decisions that went against India. However, all what can be said is, all is well that ends well.

well lets say only one thing can make india use UDRS.that is when sachin scores 399 before the end of day 2 and get a bad decision that robs him a 400. you know that wont happen.sachin usually get tired before his 250. but one thing is sure.team india is kinda divided in this. sehwag pretty much says he wants it in every interview while dhoni says MAKE SURE ITS PERFECT

You are right richclass, Laxman is robbed of his yet another fantastic hundred because of umpiring decision. After all umpires are human beings and bound to make mistakes. We can not accuse them of cheating unlike Steve Bucknors case in sydney test where umpire's mistakes were glaring. I still do not understand why Dhoni is refusing to accept revue system when India is all the times at receiving end of umpires human failure. Let it be not full proof it will certainly not be worse than the present case.

It really was a horrible decision. I know umpires are human, they are bound to make mistake. But in Laxmann's case there was daylight between bat and pad. Even a child could realize that. I am really upset with the way Laxman has been robbed what would be another amazing innings, more so with India's harsh and amusing decision not to use UDRS. I really don't know what is BCCI's problem with it. Whereas most of the players are with UDRS.

Decision of LBW was very bad in Laxman's case. But UDRS is costly. Implementing this system & maintaing is hard. But there must need alternative for this to stop such human errors.

Do you know the cost of UDRS? It is close to 25 lakh per match. It is the cost of installing the cameras and maintaining them. It is one of the reasons Dhoni has said no to it.
