PH diet

I have always wanted to make better food choices. I've asked myself is there a certain way to eat? can food really make us ill? questions of the sort plagued my every existence. I got a book online at amazon called "the PH Miracle" by Robert and Shelley Young. I must say the book and the diet sounds quite interesting and practical. It makes sense to me. This diet involves getting rid of: refined foods because they are considered acid increase alkaline food to 70 or even 80% of your intake drinking to pints of water daily. Honestly I have tried it, I don't feel much different maybe because I cheated a bit so: Anyone tried PH diet or personally I think it's a lifestyle? what results have you seen if any?
