What do you think about this? Bundesliga is the league with the highest attendance percentage in Europe, almost every game is sold out in the German League. And I know that Bundesliga games are watched in almost every country in the world. What do you think why is this happening, although there are not so many stars in the league. Let me know...

Well I don't know very much about German soccer, but they score a lot of goals. Their TV channels is almost all aorund the world, many poeple can watch their matches on TV. If don't think it depends on the stars only, I think it depends on how much people lover their team, and want to support them.

This is true, I am not a German, but I love my team, Bayern Munchen a lot. i have only been two times at a Bayern match, when they were in Bucharest in 2008 and last week in Cluj, but I consider myself a great fan, who watches every Bayern game on TV or internet. As I said, I am not German, but I consider Bayern as my team, I can identify myself with their philosophy and I enjoy seeing so many German and especially Bavarian players in the squad. Don't take it personal, but I always thought that Danish people are very interested in Bundesliga. It is correct? Or I am wrong?

Well I actually think that there is a lot, who really interest for the german league. It's our neighbour country, and their league is a bit better than ours, so many good danish players move to germany to play for a better team. For example Christian Kjær from Wolfburg, and we have many others. I don't follow the German league, because I'm more interested in spanish and english football, so that's why. But I have noticed that Mainz do very well at the moment. It's a big surprise for me.

Wow! I did not know that stat. I thought either the English Premier League or Spanish La Liga had the highest attendance. But are the stadiums in Germany as large compared to the ones in England and Spain. I know that the Allianz stadium of Bayern Munich is one of the biggest stadiums in the world. What about the other stadiums? Cheers! Ram

The biggest stadium in Germany is the Signal Iduna Park( or Westfalen Stadion) the home ground of Borussia Dortmund with a capacity of 80.000, which is full almost every game. Allianz Arena has a capacity of 69.000, which is full all the time in the Bundesliga. The other stadiums are also big, with an average capacity of 40.000-50.000 I believe and they are full almost every time. Last year the only stadium which was not fulled was the Olympic Stadium from Berlin. Now they are in the 2nd Bundesliga and I don't know what the attendance is, but I know that even in the second and third league the stadiums are almost full every game.

You are right, but I think that the really big names are in other leagues. Of course, Bayern has Ribery, Robben, Schweinsteiger, Lahm and Klose as international stars, Muller and Kroos as upcomers, Schalke has Raul and Huntelaar, Hamburg has van Nistelrooy. But compared to other leagues, there are lesser, and Raul and van Nistelrooy are already on the descending path of their career. Either way, this is my favorite league, I enjoy it, and I am glad that the teams cannot be bought and owned by a single person. These are real teams, that people can identify themselves with, they see the clubs as theirs.

I am not sure about the situation elsewhere but in my country, the most watched league are EPL, La Liga and Serie A, in that order. As for Bundesliga, no disrespect, no one actually enjoy watching it. Except for Bayern Munich, the rest is relatively unheard of.

I think this is the same in my country as well, but I follow Bundesliga the most. And I made an interesting observation. Those people who are fans of a German team, remain fans all their lives. The majority of the people claim to be Barcelona or Real fans, but they switch their favorites regarding the performances. I know many people who in the past claimed to be huge Real fans and now claim that they are Barcelona fans and mock on Real. So I do not consider these people fans, only fashion "supporters". I am Bayern fan, and this is the only team I have truly supported since I have become a football follower. Of course I support the local team from my city here in Transylvania, but I don't consider myself a fan of the local team, only the local patriotism guides me.
