Hi john, I'm interested in your investment scheme, it sounds great. However, please take time to describe in details what is it, how to do it, etc. I cannot get the head or tail of what you're talking about.

Hello johnscoolplace, Nice question, and unusual in this interest . I am living in a city with an industry of electric motors since 1919 (Leroy-Somer, bought by Emerson in 1990), and I was interested by Tesla since the beginning. Now, I don't know what they are doing : why a partnership with Toyota in 2010 after a partnership with Mercedes in 2009 ? Toyota has no experience in electric motors... The last partnership, with Panasonic, can be catastrophic, as all Tesla will be now equipped with Panasonic batteries. Yes, they will work together to create new batteries, but if these new batteries are invented by somebody else, what would be the future of Tesla ? In fact, I will believe in electric cars when batteries will be better and cheaper, and I am not sure that Tesla made the good choice with this last partnership.

Mercedes bought 10% of the shares. I think it was a good deal, because Mercedes and Tesla can exchange technology. Toyota is just buying technology, and Panasonic a forced outlet for its li-ion batteries...
