Latest Internet Browser - RockMelt

RockMelt, the latest internet browser developed and set upped by the founder of Netscape Marc Andreessen, and is aimed squarely at social networking users.
I am sure social networking users especially from Facebook will be pleased to have it as the browser not only requires a Facebook log-in but has everything from design to layout for Facebook and Twitter users which makes it particularly easy for users to share links with friends by simply dragging pictures, links or videos onto one of the small photos, known as ‘edges’ that line the browser’s window.
As users have to sign in before they can use Rockmelt, all of your favorite sites, blogs and friends will be listed once you log in. It will alert you when a new story, video of post appears on the sites you visit the most without you having to leave the web page you are currently on.
However the fact that your entire web search history, your friends and what sites you visit are known by RockMelt may be of concern with the handing over of personal information to tech firms with a poor record of data protection. Then, I am sure you can be assured (at least for now) that the firm had claimed that these browsing information will not be sold to advertisers for targeted ad campaigns based on a user’s interests.
Currently, RockMelt is starting off with a modest goal: it hopes to attract 1million users as it extends invitations to people interested in trying the browser. Requests can be made through http://www.rockmelt.com.
For Facebook and Twitter fans, I am sure this is really something you might be looking for. So, do check it out!

I haven't heard of this new browser yet. But I know Netscape because this is the first browser I started to use when I got online long time ago:) At that time I preferred to use it rather than IE. But later it seemed this company broke? It is good that they have new browser now. The competition will be good for users because they always want to make a better browser. But I think RockMelt may not work here very well since Facebook and Twitter are blocked. In the past I tried to access Facebook by my cellphone. At that time I could only use a cellphone browser called Skyfire to access Facebook. But later this way can't work because it was blocked, too.
I love China

youless,
Like you, I am also a Netscape user - I never liked or used IE and when Firefox came on, I just used it till today.
About RockMelt, I understand that it will definitely going to miss the mass China Chinese users where Facebook and Twitter are blocked. I do not know if you are a Facebook member but if you are, there's still a way to access and work on it. Let me know if you are interested to have the info via PM.
Have a nice day.

I have an account in Facebook because when I signed up an account, it hadn't been blocked yet. I just didn't have a Twitter account because it was too late for me to sign it up and it had been blocked already. I knew a way to access my Facebook account anyway, but it's somewhat troublesome. And since I don't have many friends there, it's OK. Do you know that last time when I went to Hong Kong, I just accepted new friends' requests and then I didn't use it more

Dear skysuccess,
This is new to me. RockMelt really sounds exciting and practical for
Facebook and Twitters users. I am now starting to use Facebook, maybe
I can consider this special browser. You are right, we should also
consider the data security issue. Thanks for sharing :)

Iriene88,
Nice to see your post here. Hope all's well with you.
I am unsure if you will love this browser but I can assure you that it is really a pro Facebook browser. However, I would add a word of caution that you should be careful when working with your personal particulars on this browser. Ensure that you have the latest security updates for both your operating system and security suite program before venturing further.
Take care and have a nice day.
