Which camera is better: Digital or Analog?

A digital camera (or digicam) takes video or still photographs, or both, digitally by recording images via an electronic image sensor. Nowadays this cameras are over taking the analog they are more specific and scientific. The digital camera are much more user friendly and are loaded with different equipments. Digi-cams have memory chip instead of films. This allow you to delete the unwanted photos giving you an option of more space. Nowadays analog cameras are very rare though there are many people who like to shoot with their analog cams. I don't understand why they choose those analog cameras leaving digital ones. In their words analog cameras are still much better than digitals. Do you agree with this or you have a similar opinion like me.

Hi Paul, I do not have a digital camera but I can say that the earlier handset that I had provided me with a 2MPx camera and using that I took some great pictures and videos tough my dad has a digital camera. I had an analog camera when I was at college and almost all the pics of those days were taken using that. Now coming to your point, I think the analog ones are costly no doubt but then they are better as they deliver the originals... With digital camera you always have something like - "Oh I do not think I am looking good in this Pic... Let me Brighten the ambiance..." - Editing using Photoshop and other softwares makes me lured into changing the content and Personally I feel that this ruins the true pic that was taken. For those who believe in originality... Analogs are better... Cheers, theSids.

Analog cameras are good at some areas where the digital are not. It is because the technology is different. I think that analog cameras can take much more detailed picture than digital ones.

I like digital cameras because I don't have to spend so much on films and I can immediately see the captured images, that way, I can chose the ones that I want developed unlike when I was using analog, I get disappointed when the images get exposed and I had a lot of them developed already before I find out that if there are images that I don't like.

I've used both and I prefer digital cameras to analog ones. Aside from the fact that digital cameras are handy and easier to carry, they have different settings that can either enhance or make the outcome of the picture more dramatic and pleasing to the eye. Also, it's a lot better since one can just upload them easily to your sites and profiles in just a few minutes. Hopefully someday, I can own a DSLR so I can capture the best still photos that I can get.

Hello Paul, it depends on what you need/want. If you want raw unedited photos or ones that you want to print is better to go with analog cameras. If you want to see your photos and adit/adjust them or who knows? maybe making a slideshow the only way is to go with digital cameras. You cant compare the two they are verry different the only thing they have in common is the fact that them both are used for taking photos. So in conclusion the better one is the one that suits your needs. Have a nice day.

As for my purist photography professor, analog camera would still be an option. Not only it will give you much vibrant colour than some digital cams today, but the fun of developing the film by yourself. But of course, we're living in a digital world so it will not hurt you if you'll switch and use a digital one.

I have used both and prefer the digital. I know some professional Photographers who still use film because of the color quality. They also allow you to take double exposures. I would not rule out film cameras for the future.

Digital Cameras are far more better than the analogue ones, There were lot of things which were left un-did on analogue cameras which are currently in digital cameras, at times you may feel like u want a analogue camera, but that doesnt mean that the present day digital camera is bad.what people might hav mentioned is upon the SLr cameras which were analogue for a long time and now even these cameras are also digital and they are the best in the buisness now and they are far most better than the analogue Slr Cameras.. Happy Mylotting..

It's better to have a digital camera than a analog one, Because it has a saving capability no need to by some old tradition film like the old times we do.In a digital cam after you take a photo you can upload it to your social networking sites.

I prefer a digital camera because you can edit it on the computer fast and easy. By having a digital camera you can also see the preview picture you have taken and you can choose if you are going to delete or save it. I want digital than analog. :)

I think what is imporatnt is how you use the camera. There are a variety of reasons for choosing camera - along with the advatages and limitations of each variant.
