Getting referrals in Facebook

Many of online users today are hooking up with Facebook because it is the most active networking site today in the internet and many business owners are promoting their products in Facebook. Some also earn by referrals that they get on Facebook. They earn money by inviting Facebook users and their own friends to join in an affiliate site. Have you tried getting referrals from Facebook?

Yeah i've tried it. It didn't work out fine. Facebook is great for making friends and selling products, not getting referals.

No I haven't tried it but I have received a script from a guy with which the user is supposed to get referrals. I have no clue whether it works but it's a method. The script, from what I understood from the manual, posts on other people's walls... I have no clue on it's legality.
