Rico Blanco as actor or singer

Rico Blanco is a promising musician of the Pinoy Rock scene but recently he starred in ABS-CBN TV show Imortal and this time he is on his way to acting. Aside from music he really can act as well so we can see his effort in his new journey. This only proves that Rico is a flexible person and he can do music and acting together as a proof of his talents. What do you think is best as an actor or as a musician?

I think Rico Blanco's core gift is really being a songwriter-singer-musician. His songs with Rivermaya and as a solo artist are immortal (no pun intended) testaments of his true talent. I think his recent foray into acting is also a good movie for him careerwise because it would make him more accessible to the younger market, those who were too young to remember Rivermaya. He is not a great actor, but he is an interesting part of the show. I think Rico is just looking for an extension of his creativity and testing the waters of acting. But for me, he will always be a music icon.
