Can I have more than one best friend?

My friend ask me if she can have more than one bestfriend. If best really means "best" then the answer is no. Only one can be absolute best at anything right? How about you? What do you think about this situation?

ya the one best friend is enough . if u want to just make ur friends list bigger than u must do this . but there is no need of more than one best friend and suppose if you make more the one best friend than u have to take care of them suppose take an example on one day your's two friends birthday party has been arranged and you can attain only one ???????? a big Q comes in ur mind that to attain which party .
it was just an example ,but it can be more than this also .

In my school years a had two best friends and we were inseparable. One of them was a girl that I met in the kindergarten. After we finished school she broke the reationship with us. But before that I considered both girls best friends.

Why she broke the relationship with you and your best friend fannitia? Is she didn't happy with you or she find another friend? I think it is better to have lots of best friends because if someone leave us, there are other who still in our side. My suggestion is, I think the guy is a good best friend.

of course you can, best friend 1. best friend 2, best friend 3, and so on. Having a best friend and being the best does not mean the Best will be the only one. Or above any other. Being a best friend is being a good friend to you, Who can understand you and will stick with you through hard times. Who will say not the things you wanted to hear but the truth. I have 3 best friends and they are the best to me, though they have different qualities and differences.

You have a point angelic but we must know the other best friends weaknesses that sometime they cannot help us all the way. As long as you are happy with them and they didn't backfire you its okay. But all of us must have one closet, very very friend that you cannot hesitate to tell all your thoughts, comments, secrets to them and that is our mother.

Yeah, I agree with this that we can have more than one best friends at a time, I have two best friends and I give them equal value and I never thought any difference in them.
I share every thing with them and they both share, we all three are best friend of each other...:
