does anyone know where to get a 5ft x 2ft picture frame, coz at home we do christmas lists where i put a piece of paper on the fridge with the families names at the top,and they have to write what they want for christmas, well as a joke my boyfriend wrote kylie minogue, obviously i can't get him her so i thought i'd get the next best thing,a life size poster,BUT now i need a frame,i can't find one anywhere,i've googled it but nothing suitable came up,not unless i wanted to pay over £100,i'm now stuck and need your help

Hello doormouse. The Kylie Minogue Picture sounds like fun. You could go o a lumber yard or a home do it store and get some wall or floor trim, a piece of ply wood and make your own frame. Here in the states they will cut it to the size you want. most frames are cut at an angle on the corners so I don't know if you can get those angle cuts. but that is where I would go for a start. God luck with your project.

let me know how it comes out. You could also go to a furniture store and get a large card board box for the backing.

I've no idea what those measurements are in centimetres but..anyway, AllPosters is a well-respected site that I have bought from before so you can trust them. Here is a list of frame sizes..in centimetres! Hope you are successful in your quest to find a frame. http://www.allposters.co.uk/-st/Frames-Posters_c101139_.htm

Found this one worked out at about £44 http://www.frames.uk.com/frameprice_enrique_lopez/calcframeprices.php Do you have a market stall near you that make frames to order, we had one where I usd to live and it was quite inexpensive

I am not sure if where you are at if they have a walmart and or walgreens as these two place have large selections of frames. You may want to go to their websites especially the walmart one and see if they perhaps deliver to you. Other places that come to mind are amazon and or ebay. Oh and craig's list. As most people utilize craiglist to get rid of almost new items at a very cheap price. Good luck and that is such a thoughtful gift.

Why dont u get a cork board,or large perspex and clip it on strong cardboard, like they do some pictures instead of a frame.Look on Ebay,or try a craft shop that also do frames to size.Other thing to do would be look in places in the town that have charity shops,as they sometimes do those kind of things.

i don't know wether we have any in our town,i can think of 1 shop that may possibly do it,but it'd be blinkin expensive, probably about £100 or more, and i don't want to pay that for a poster that only cost me £8,,thanks anyway

my friend suggested that, but i'm not sure where he'd put it as our house is full to the brim, that's why i thought about a picture on the wall as it'll be out of the way and less likely to gert ruined,,thanks for the reply
