If you could live in another time of the history? When would you like live? Where? And also what would you like to do at this time of the history? Why? In my case, I love almost all the tecnologies of the XXIst century but if I could go back in time, I'd chose to live in the XVth century because I think this was a very interesting time in the human history and I would live in Rome or Paris. I would like to be a poet or a painter of a king and see the most beautiful art pieces that were created at this moment of the humanity. I think that Roman History was amazing too. And you? If you could go back in time, where and when would you like to live?

If at all i get to go back to history, I would go to the Dwapara Yuga! The times when the great lord "SHRI RAM" lived in our country! I don't mind being even a simple human or even an animal as far as i'm in the place where Shri Ram resided and I would be a lot blessed to have been breathing the same air that he breathed and to have enjoyed the same rain and breeze that he would have felt and enjoyed. Its a big thing, but what's wrong in wishing for something like that to happen! :)

To 18th century... not in a separate place but in my village... to see those days where electrical items, mechanical items, technical items did not touch villages and yet people lived a happy life. Have a nice day.

HI shibham: It sounds really interesting. I love my town, I have been here since I was a little kid so I think it must be amazing to know how it looks like and how things were doing in the place where you have passed most part of your life. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day too. ALVARO

I think that if I could live through another time in history, I would have wanted to have been born 80 years before I was born. That would have put me at my coming of age right with the beginning of the Roaring Twenties. I think that would have been a very interesting period to have experienced because of the fact that there were so many steps toward independence for women during this time frame and also, it seemed like it would have been a fun time to have lived.

Hi dear, You made me confused or made me greedy? As you said, we need to go for a better comparison. Even I was partially, a history student when I was in colleges. If we compare, there are so many time episodes where we would like to lived. There are advantages as well as disadvantages also. We have certain good feel and real imaginary scene about the good things in those days and wish to be as a part of those days. What about 20,000 years? Also, what can be of 200 years prior to now? We don’t know much about all these times. Few things we understood from the history and few paintings and pictures of those days seeks really likable. I think except some mighty and powerful ruling people, the rest of those human beings must be led a miserable and slavery life, which is never exposed or highlighted. There are so much of mentions about the good period and few good things around which happened in the history. But if we take the human history as a whole, what it could have been? So pathetic and miserable. The life like a nomadic and unorganized. It was a time of might is power and any one can kill anybody if they had power. Fighting and killing – and more and more of the same. But through renitence and ruling and ruled, killed and ruled, many many such times have been passed and we reached here. I think we are in the right place to live and right time to live. Also, I think many don’t want to live some 300 years later. May prefer to take a gone date, but people won’t prefer to be after few more years. What you think, can we both make a rebirth after 1000 years, and can meet on myLot at that time? Fun!! Thank you for your nice topic and thinking. Regards, Thank-s

Hi thanks: You are right. If you think about every period in the history you'll find some positive and some negative aspects. I'm sure I would miss this time if I could go back in time. But at the same time, I think that some historical periods were so passionate and interesting. There have been some very important changes in the history. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day. First choice- ancient Sparta to be a Warrior, that would be awesome. Second choice- Ancient Egypt to be a warrior; third -Ancient Rome to be a gladiator, fourth- ancient north america to be a native american warrior. Fifth- back to the prehistoric times to be a mammoth hunter etc. Basically I like the old ways and love ancient warfare.

Hi wiggles: yes, it seems that you love ancient warfare. Actually, I agree with you on the fact that war, before the modern weapons used to be an art and it's cool to study all the designs and all of the strategies that the cultures have created in the past. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day. ALVARO

I'd like to have been born at the time of one of the supposed founders of the main religions... like Jesus or Buddha!! That would be incredible. Just imagine being the only person in the world who knows whether Buddha really was enlightened, or Jesus was the son of God, especially being able to go and visit where huge events like the resurrection took place and stand there and watch it. Or being around to hear Buddha's Darma, and become enlightened yourself. =) Yea, that would make me happy! And if all else fails, I'd go back to that HUGE roll over lottery draw with a certain set of numbers in mind. ;-)

Hi Joe Black: I think that's a wise answer. I didn't think about this possibility when I have started this discussion but I think this can be the bes answer. If you travel to the times of Jesus or Buddha you could learn a lot from our Christian religion or about Buddhism. That would be the best experience ever. It's like learning from the Bible live and to know what really happends at that time and to touch the facts that we have learned from our parents and church. Thanks for your answer. ALVARO
