I have often heard about people that would be undergoing medical examinations will be advised to drink more milk. Does milk do cleanse all there is in our body? I am really starting to believe that it does all the cleansing and it would really be good to take just hours before you take your medical examination.
How bout you lotters? Do you agree?

You don't drink milk when you are going to some medical examinations like in the case of detecting whether you have diabetes or not. You are advised to have "fasting" before you take blood sugar level examination.

Oh yes, maybe it's just for X-ray? they said that it helps cover up for spots in your lungs. So, they advised to drink milk before you have to have an X-ray. Whatya think?

pretty more like of a myth, ^_^ come to think of it, when you drink the milk it enters your stomach from your mouth and esophagus, it does not enter your lungs!
logical.

Maybe because of the good benefits milk would give to our body. That's why they recommended me drinking milk before taking my medical exam.

i don't think no one food is the be all and end all. i will say something about milk. its best not to drink it and then eat fruits or vegetables if you want the maximum absorption of antioxidants. researchers have find it interferes somewhat with antioxidant absorption.

I doubt people advise you to drink milk for cleansing purpose.
Milk is a beverage that contains nearly all the necessary proteins and nutrients for life.
It is good to drink milk so that you get enough vitamins, and minerals. The important one is calcium.
Milk helps us to sleep better. When we have enough sleep, our blood pressure is normal. In this case, you will not be wrongly diagnosed as having high blood pressure.
In some cases, quality sleep is linked to cleansing, since those without enough hours or quality sleep tend to have constipation problem. If this is the case for you, then yes, milk is linked to cleansing.

Sorry I don't agree that milk is a cleanser of any kind! ACtually when there are breathing problems it's a bad thing to drink as it causes more buildup of phlegm. I've never heard of it to be a cleanser. WAter and certain juices yes but milk is a new one for me!

it is myth, it doesn't mean that if one try's it and it also works for you
..if you want to cleanse your body try to drink warm water with half teaspoon of iodized salt and freshly squeeze lime, if this is not your thing eat low fat yogurt before you go to bed, eat a lot of veggies and cut down eating read meat..

I don't need milk to cleanse, no one does. Milk is no good for anyone. Check all the vegan websites or your local vegan society. What it can do is it weakens the bladder & you end up expelling much more than you take in, giving a false impression of "cleansing". There are plenty of "milk is good for you" myths that have been going around for decades. One of those is that one "needs" milk for calcium, potassium, etc. While it's true that milk contains these, the effect it has on humans is to leech calcium, etc from our bones, teeth, etc. We've been weaned off milk when we were little, so stop relying on it, stand up & eat whole foods, & certainly do not drink the milk of other animals which was never designed for our consumption in the beginning. You only end up supporting a cruel, wasteful, inefficient, polluting industry with each & every dollar you spend on dairy products.
