The ways to take care of children?

I have no children but I am a child of my parents. Sometimes I feel that that my parents have not taken a good care of me. They provided finance for my study. Somehow I am not satisfied. I don't want my future child to feel the same. What are the ways to take good care of a child? According to me 1. You should celebrate your child birthday. 2. Give them the credit for his achievements, don't say that I am your parents and what ever you are is because of us. 3. Give them gifts for his achievements. 4. Tell them that you love them. I am sure they will love back. 5. Don't criticise them much if they are unable to do something help them by giving ideas. I want more ideas on this topic.

welcome to the world of mylot sanjay and your discussion is truly very interesting. i am married for 8 years now and we have a four year old son. for me parents needs to think if they can afford to have more than one child before having more. if they can support and give the equal attention. for me we also need to teach our children respect and to be responsible. be a God fearing person as well. love and appreciate every little things they do and correct them when it is not a good thing. and the best of it all is be a good example. children does what they see and say what they hear.

Hi, For myself, I am very happy to be my parent's child and I am a mother of my little boy too. I always try to be a good mother for my son. I give him the best. Provide him everything that he needs and try to spend more times with my son. On his birthday, I will cook something nice for him with birthday cake. And once a while, I will buy him some education gifts or story books which are good for his development. Everyday, I will plan for his day...teach him how to write, colouring, fix puzzles and also play with my son. I hope what I am doing for him is the best for him.

Yes, there are many ways parents can show love and care for their children. They have to see to it that the children get enough rest and nourishment, good education, and when they are sick, parents need to bring the kids to the doctor and provide medicine.

Yes, those are some ways of showing your love to your child. Others are taking care of them when they are sick, seeing to it that they get enough rest, food, and clothing, give them good education for their future.

I have already 3 little kids. I really love them to the point that I'm willing to makes night as day just to give them the best of everything. Yes, as a parents we need not only to satisfy their financial needs. As a parent we have a lot of responsibilities. We need to be responsible enough to remember special occasion to their lives, help them to reach their full potential (ex. enroll them to singing, dancing or any class that will help them to be better individual) but not to the point that we almost forgot they have like and dislike and dream also. It is a big NO to criticize their works, instead appreciate then make a suggestion how to improve it next time around. listen and look to them when they have something to tell, be supportive and be appreciatable and never compare them to any body.
