when your boat sinks....

I remember a question where you have to think whom to choose. here goes the question:
If your boat is sinking and you have only one life vest,to whom will you give your life vest you have 3 impotant people with you, your bestfriend, boyfriend/girlfriend, or your mom..... what your answer my lotter

I really hate this question because my dad always asks this.
The first time he asked me was if the boat sank and none of them knew how to swim except for me, who will I save first? My mom, him, my brother or one of my sisters. Every time he asks me that, I always answer "I don't know" because I don't want to save only one. Then he told me "Save the one closest to you."
He keeps on asking me that question like every year. So I respond "The one closest to me". Good! But the last time he asked me the same situation, it was about my dog and him. So he asked me if he and my dog can't swim, who will I save first? Then I answered "The one closest to me." He was so shocked and a bit angry at the same time for I will save a dog's life than his. LOL
How tricky.

Probably my mother because she is older. We would have more of a chance of swimming.

My mother certainly, we regard mother maximum, i am here because of her only, so top priority is mother other are secondary..
