I do not know where to start... Well, I have a 'fight' with my bosses..not the first boss. All this while I just do not bother most of the things they did. But this time, I just couldn't hold it anymore and I declared a cold war with them. I just couldn't bothered anymore. When I say fight it doesn't mean that a physical fight. I just do not want to follow their instructions anymore. I even tendered a resignation letter for some posts in the office. Am I reacted to much?

i think to fight with the bosses, and not to follow their instructions specifically is a loss at your side. if you feel you are not happy anymore, you can just leave and not make your life miserable fighting with them. this is a sad fact but it is true.

Yes it is really sad but true. As I said earlier...I am not working for the boss or a company. I am in a public sector. To leave the job is not the option. I did applied for a transfer but the Ministry always rejected my applications saying that my service still needed with the current work place. Peace no war. :-)

Firstly, calm down, just relax,my friend.I just think you did not do wrong things. If you always work in a bad or unpleased situation,it would do real bad to your health. Then you will get little chance to developed yourselves. So choose the proper job which you really like, that's the key!May you succeed!

I do not know the reason behind that. However, I do understand at times we can't control it and felt like need to stand up for one right. Usually, I will get frustrated, analyze the situation or rather consequences. I have pretty good terms with my 1st level boss and peers. However, our new HOD had different perspective and run the department like an army platoon which is solely take instruction and no comment or suggestion to be done. My 1st level manager does had a conflict with the new HOD and so do we! But, we try to reason out calmly with this new HOD. Unfortunately, it did not work out! So, I understand how you feel. But, on the other hand, we need to look at different angle prior our volcano explode! Good luck.

I don't know what things that can't let you hold on to these bosses but if you think you can't tolerate and wanted a new work environment, then go ahead!

Well, you're asking if you reacted too much? Ahm... let me think... I don't know. Well, I don't know what exactly is this thing that you got something against your boss(es). Anyways, I think if you don't want to lose your job, don't argue with your bosses. They are the "bosses". You'll always be under them... we will always be under them (our bosses). Sometimes, people really use their power too much and those under them just cannot take any more of it. But if you need your job (right, I did not say love your job but NEED your job), be peaceful with everyone especially the bosses. But if you think you can have a better job outside that place where you can still provide your needs or even give yourself a better life, then I think it's fine to resign. But for me (I once overacted and resigned and really regret that I did that), it would always be better to be peaceful with everyone especially if they are not harming you physically. I mean, that way you would be known as someone who is a good employee of the company and even if you resign, you still have your good name. :)

I am so thankful for your response. All this while I am very happy working under the first boss. Last two weeks, the first boss was not in because he attended a meeting outside.

Really...? It's like we're having a similarity but in my case I'm telling what I feel. I always wanted to open up a conversation and voice out my views. It's better to have a closure.

Whatever you do, don't burn your bridges. Just do what your bosses want you to do. Just think that if they are making you do many thing it means that they trust you and you are capable of doing that. In other words they are testing you. Just do your best in completing your task and show them that they cannot easily put you down and soon they'll like you. For every hard task always remember that an another can do it, you can do it too. On the other hand, if your bosses doesn't really appreciate you personally. Resigning is an option for it is like waiting for nothing - you will not get any promotions, since your boss hate your personally may be because of discrimination or something. Always stay in the place you feel comfortable and with full of opportunities. P.S. this the only things I can say since I don't really know why a war uprose between you and your bosses
