Why some people can't sleep without the feel of mosquito net in the feet?

Some of the people I know can't sleep without the feel of mosquito net in the feet or others with a mat, I'm wondering why? Some of them can't explain the feeling, maybe mannerism or it's psychological... Do you experience the same? Do you have rituals or activities before going to sleep (that you can't sleep without or without doing)?

Sometimes, I find comfort in having my foot rub against the bedsheet. There's just something about such action that makes me doze off. However, I don't do this all the time. What I am wondering lately is why some people could sleep even when bitten by mosquitoes. I just couldn't sleep the same thing happens to me. My little boy couldn't sleep without his pillow beside me. I, on the other hand, when I feel restless, I like snuggling under my hub's armpit till doze off.

Not exactly the Mosquito net, but yes!! I can't sleep without the Fan. Even in the winters I would use my ceiling fan. I like the sound of the fan moving. This is a habitual behavior in the human being and almost most of the animals. I have observed even the House Rats would prefer to take the same route every single day at the same time to move from one place to other.
