I am one of those people that take my time to get the paper that i like.Today i have been wrapping things up and it has taken me all morning and yes there are more todo. The paper that i am using is soo thick, where as it is normally so thin to cut.I hate the thought of cutting the paper again and the design on it i can not even match up to make it look like i have taken care when wrapping it up.

ya gifts should be packed well & maintained nicely so that the look gives a good impression to the opposite person even packing plays a important role in gifts when we gift to someone.

I think that there are some really odd shaped box and bottles that you can get as a gift that have to be wrapped up, i hate all og those round gifts as well that we get for people.Next year i am looking for things in square shaped containers only, as they are easier to wrap up, as well as they look neater when wrapped.

Well you are in the same boat as me, because I take a long time to wrap gifts. Thickened wrap seems better to look at and feel, but the people who put care into perfecting such wraps will find it super hard. The designs going through will only make it worse, and I feel so bad that you have to do this all by yourself. It won't feel as bad, when your kids or special others open such gifts, because during that time its the moment that matters. You've just reminded me to wrap all my gifts, and I haven't even started shopping for them. Oh well, I'll have to hit the stores next weekend, and wrap everything up before December 8th. Thanks for such an informative article.

Thick paper is hardet to cut,but thankfully it do not tear easily, lol, unlike the thin paper that you can get.I hate wrapping gifts up when the corners of the paper tears,as then it looks awful as some how you have to tape the tear in the gift,so that it do not look too much of a mess.

I bet your presents look wonderful.....and especially under you tree....I bet it could be from a magazine. This year, I think I am going to do a lot of gift cards....so I will need to buy gift card holders as well. Wait, I just got an idea....I should look online to see if I can make gift holders. Ya, a great idea. Thanks for making me think of that. Merry Christmas.

I have got the proper bottle bags to put all of the booze in that i have got for gifts for my family and friends,as that also saves alot of time.I think that with how long it has taken me to do all the wrapping, i can now sit back and relax.I hate having to do all the wrapping up on my own.

I am totally opposite of you LOL. I tend to just tape it together, however it will work, the quickest I can, because it's not a priority to me. I envy those who have the patience to beautifully wrap their presents. I think it's a nice touch. But I just can't do it. LOL.

I do not like all the things that i have to wrap up as sometimes there are loads of things that i have to try to wrap up altogether, then you get the funny shapes to try to wrap up.All i can say is the paper looks good, shame about all the tape and the corners that are over taped, lol.

I am the same, I pay a lot of attention to wrapping things up nicely. But I try to stock up on wrapping paper ahead of time, so whenever I see a paper I like, I get it. Because of this, I always have some paper at home, usually several different kinds too. I highly recommend doing this, it saves you money if you can get paper when there is a sale or a special deal, and that way you will never have to buy paper in the last minute, so you get stuck with kinds you don't like.

It is really nice looking paper, but the pattern that it has is soo hard to match up and that it is starting to craze me noe trying to get it to match up.I have been to a sale where as their paper is soo cheap, that i thought that it would be the really thin stuff.I love the sales and i got loads last year in the sale and i have ran out of it all now, which is a shame.

Yeah, I think it is good to do this type of things by your own, it shows your love for the person to whom you are going to gift. But for me, if any good design in available for packing then I prefer to use that packing instead of cutting and designing but I think it is good to do some creative work like you....:) I have done this when I was young and I always choose some decent color to wrap the gift but for designing I always asked my sister to do it for me, as I think girls are more creative in this regard....:) Have a nice day...:)

Okay, I'm going to admit to you that I am picky about the wrapping paper I use. I think it is so fun to find really cool wrapping paper. So I'm not afraid to tell you that my favorite wrapping paper of all time, was the wrapping paper of Scooby Doo and the gang celebrating Christmas. And I wasn't a kid when I bought it. I was twenty-five. I just loved it! Sure, I'll go with fancy wrapping paper too. But I just love finding fun and unique things to dress up the gifts.
