a lot of secondhand stuff are sold nowadays, and that shockingly includes undies.o_o i didn't know how to react when i saw them on display. i'm used to seeing clothes, shoes, toys, and furniture, but not THOSE. desperate times? desperate cost-cutting measures?o_0 what weird stuff have you seen on garage/rummage sales? and which ones are you willing to purchase and use?

I like to rummage for second hand items like shirts or pants but only if they're not as used or they still look kind of brand new. HAnd me down clothes are second hand too and I like that too. I like to buy those fleece or velvety long-sleeved shirts imported from somewhere which are sold aplenty here. I re-use them by cutting them up and making some sort of pillowcases and they are soft to the touch. But I don't buy undergarments or shoes coz they might contain some bacteria and it's not okay for our health. and I've seen people who like to pirchase such and that's weird.

i guess there are more people who buy them than i realize. perhaps that's why they're still being sold. i like that idea of yours; buying second hand clothes and then using them to make pillowcases and stuff. that's very creative!

Anything but undergarments, those I would rather buy new, or make myself if need be. I guess it's more that it's just too weird then being worried about diseases, though that is a thing I would worry about as well.

I dont have a problem with second hand stuff generally but, like most people, I wouldn't want cast-off underwear/swimwear & probably not shoes or towels/bedlinen either. I know there are people who prefer to buy used underwear but thats a whole new topic - which may be best avoided

Mostly books and I got a secondhand guitar from a friend's friend, maybe some clothing and shoes from friends which are quite new and which they couldn't fit but I think that about exhausted the list. I cannot imagine who would buy or use secondhand undies.

I'm at the beginner level because I don't have time to practise. I really hope to be able to play better and can provide some entertainment for myself and others.

yey let's spread music around the world~!:D i can't say i'm a beginner; i'm just a little over that level though. hahaXD i love to play and sing. music is so beautiful that i simply had to learn to make it.:) i'm able to express myself when i sing. the lyrics aren't mine, but the voice is. it's enough to make the words seem like they flowed directly from my heart.:) that was cheesy. haha:D

even if i could, i'd rather not imagine them. hahaXD ooh you play the guitar? i do too! i'm not very good but i enjoy playing and singing to myself.:D i've also tried buying a second hand (maybe even nth hand) guitar when i studied abroad for some time. it was cheap, but works perfectly well when i strum. haha:)

I'm willing to buy second hand DVDs, videogames and things like that. Other than that, I don't get things second hand.

ooh. yeah that's a good idea. buying secondhand dvds should be a cheaper way of getting my hands on those movies. hahaXD thanks!

Undergarment is definitely not reusable. I am also picky about shoes too. Other than that I am fine with second hand or hand me downs.

The only thing i would purchase second hand is a book. I would purchase an electronic second hand also depending on what type of device it is. If it has an relatively expensive device i would prefer to just buy a new one completely than to buy a second hand one.

oh i buy second hand books too. you get to pay a lower price for the same content. it makes perfect sense to buy second hand books. i'm not sure about electronics though. you'll have to make sure that it is not defective or something.

That is why i said depending on the device. If it is a device that is easy to break or be destroyed i prefer just to buy a new one. If i am going to buy a device it absolutely cannot have any faults, only thing i might accept sometimes is its appearance if it only have a few scratches but nothing else is accepted.

Furniture if it looks nice enough. Now if it looks like it is barely held together by duct tape, then I will most certainly pass up on it. Still there are some good finds. Also books are something that are good to be used second hand. Electronics to a certain extent, if the deal is right but that is one of those things that is buyer beware for sure. Lets just say that there are a reason why second hand electronics are being sold more often then not.

yeah furniture would be nice. just pretend you're buying antique ones. haha;D and books too. this is what's nice about books, even if you buy it nth hand, the story remains the same and it will never depreciate. haha:) i'm not sure about electronics though...i wouldn't choose buying them if i could. but i guess a lot of people don't have that choice. and that'd precisely why there is a market for secondhand stuff.
