Hello everyone,
I am gald to communicate with you here.
There is no doubt that environmental problems are concerned all around the world.The quality of our natural environment has become an important issue.Serious environmental problems can be seen everywhere.We are using up our natural resources and at the same time polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals.
We can hear the appeal to protect the environment almost everywhere and all the time.However,the measures we have taken is extraordinary meagre.There is a long way to go.Nevertheless,time is limited.The environment wouldn't give us a lot of time.It is punishing us.However our world focuses on the economy too much to work hard enough to protect our environment.Is money so important?If the earth becomes inhospitable,what we can do with money at that moment?Eating money,drinking money,breath money?

The solution to all these problems you've mentioned & many more does not require money. There is also no need to sacrifice the economy of any nation to implement the single most effective solution to the situation. You are right; we are running out of time. In December 2012, all the Arctic Ice is expected to be gone & sea levels will rise significantly, with rapid heating of the oceans & atmosphere resulting. The environment isn't punishing us nearly as much as we have been punishing it! This issue has been discussed many times before:

That's why I've gone to great lengths exactly why they should care & that it negatively affects their lives if they do not care. Many also do not know what it is exactly they should be doing, if what they're doing has any impact & what they can do with minimum outlay that will have the maximum effect.

I would like to point out that a main problem with environmental protection is that people, or at least most in the world do not care. This reduces awareness and involvement in environmental preservation.

well we always say to protect our environment but the real thing that we care about is the environment getting worse to support life. there have been increase in temperature through out the world and we now fear of melting on ice at antarctic that will lead to destroy the major coastal cities and we all know major cities of the world are at coastal region.
so it is not the environment we have to protect but we have to protect ourselves from the blow of the nature...

but in the quest of better material things we are losing our ethics and morals. nature is great and you will get it from many exotic natural places around the world and see how many natural worlds we have destroyed.

It is high time for us humans to be well aware of the importance of the protection of the environment and take some actions to protect our mother earth. There is one special thing that I don't like when it comes to the use of the foam box used in fast-food restaurant. So if possible, I always try not to use it unless I have to. In my daily life, I try to be more friendly to the environment and I wish everyone to do the same.

One little thing we can do right now is to minimize or stop using plastic because it clogs our environment. We should also reuse items that can still be reused instead of throwing them directly to pollute the earth.

Such an enlightenment you are bringing us here and I couldn't agree with you more. What's happening to our environment now is the result of people's greediness and selfishness. We are so much concerned about our own self-enrichment that we don't care for one moment how it would affect the most important shelter that we have, and that is earth. People always believed that the EArth is invincible, cannot be destroyed and strong enough to handle abuses, but we have to think again.
Let's give back to mother earth what she has given us for so long a time now. It's our turn to take good care of her.

You have made a very good point in the response that it is our turn to take good care of our mother earth. Still today there are so many people who care about making money without thinking too much about the damage they do to the environment. If they could think more of being friendly to the earth, we would not suffer from pollution of different kinds like air pollution, water pollotion and so on. Have a good dya, toniganzon.

You are soo right. Our world is so consumed by money that it will do anything and everything possible to get it even if it destroys and kills the environment. But know one cares just as long as they made a buck off of it. Like you said, if we destroy our world money will be no good and we just killed this place for nothing.

You do realize, don't you, that without "money" humanity could have no civilization? You are correct about money, but we can have that and protect the environment as well. I don't love money, far from it. But I do understand money can be used to care for the environment and everything else in life as well. Civilization will not return to the jungle of its own accord, so we must work within the system.

People would do well to cherish and protect the environment, and so I really wonder why they don't care about this issue. Makes no sense to me. One must have some powerful blinders on to not see the importance of this. Those people who do properly regard the scope of this should also agree to look at all sides of this issue, and not make rash decisions. It is a very complicated issue. Many of those who are loudest on this issue are loudest because of their special, yet hidden, interests. These people we need to recognize and avoid, they only complicate things. There are enough sane and caring people around that could make a powerful difference, if they would.

Hi,thanks for your reply.
As far as I am concerned,some people really have not realize the importance of protecting the environment.Maybe it is because the place where they live haven't been destroyed.On these occasion,we should evoke their awareness to protect the environment.
