I think at this stage in his career, Del Piero would be looking to maximize his payoff as he is already nearer to the end of his career. I think that del Piero has enough money for him to think about money at this point of his career, so he plays football for pleasure, not for wealth. If I was Del Piero I would stay out of loyalty as whilst he has been a loyal player for years they in return have looked after him and paid him well. Del Piero should stay at Juventus till his retirement. His salary might have decrease now but he should be aware that he is unable to play every single match nowadays.
